This is a very special photographic safari, prepared with great care. We will be in the heart of the Amazon, in the Mamirauá Sustainable Development Reserve, staying at Uakari Lodge, an initiative in Community-Based Tourism in the Brazilian Amazon that seeks to be the best example of ecotourism in the Amazon. In addition to discovering and being enchanted by the preserved nature of the Reserve, learning how to use the equipment in the best possible way, recording species of fauna and incredible landscapes, we will also be in contact with the culture of traditional communities and, in addition, contributing to the conservation of local biodiversity.

Before arriving in Mamirauá we will spend two days in Manaus, a full day in Presidente Figueiredo with lots of birdwatching and two days in Tefé, getting to know and photographing every corner of this incredible bioma.

- Visit to the MUSA Tower - Amazon Museum - to see the sunrise

-Visit to the indigenous community in Tefé

-Visit FLONA in Tefé, one of the 65 Conservation Units in Brazil

-Photographic immersion at Uakari Lodge, within the Mamirauá Sustainable Reserve, with observation of terrestrial mammals, amphibians, reptiles, butterflies, snakes and different species of birds, many of which are only found in the region

-As we will be in the flood season, we will do a lot of sailing

-Detailed organization following the "Slow Travel" concept

-Coordination and daily monitoring of photographers specializing in nature and wildlife

-Photographic workshop during departures and when returning to the accommodation, with tips for using your equipment better and getting the best photos, and also when we return, editing photos, and answering questions

Visit to Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve
- Breakfast at 5 am and leave 5:30 am for the MUSA - Amazon Museum - which is inside the Adolpho Ducke Forest Reserve, to wait for dawn at the top of the Tower

- We will spend the whole morning walking around the Museum and the forest, there is a lot to see and photograph

- We leave 10:30hs to Adolpho Lisboa Market, where we will see a lot of typical amazon artcraft and a lot of information about culture and gastronomy. It´s an amazing place to take pictures and also buy something

- Lunch at 1pm

- Free time from the moment we are back to the hotel up dinner time

- We meet at 7pm for dinner

Presidente Figueiredo
- Breakfast at 5am and departure at 5:30am to Presidente Figueiredo

- We will be able to see many species of birds, including if we are lucky the beautiful Galo da Serra, as well as many other specie

- The place is known as the capital of waterfalls, so we will have material for many landscape photographs as well

- We have lunch and have two hours of free time to rest and, perhaps, take a dip in the waterfall

- Return to Manaus at 3pm

- After lunch we leave for the Solimões river barrier and visit the Ticuna indigenous community

- Departure very early

- Navigation to FLONA - National Forest - of Tefé, organized based on community tourism, where we will have a regional breakfast

- Trails within the forest, on foot and/or with navigation, depending on the height of the flood in the river

- Lunch followed by free time with a river bath for those who wish

- Return to Tefé at the end of the day
