About this trip

Visiting Bali, with it’s unique culture and sculpted beauty, can be very inspiring and sometimes life changing. It certainly has been for me. Joining a yoga retreat where you are supported in creating or deepening your practice can also be tranformative and life enhancing. I am thrilled to be back in Bali, sharing yoga! On this retreat, in this quiet rice growing region which reminds me of Bali 25 years ago, we will practice classically inspired Yoga with a strong flow element. Pranayama, mantra, meditation and philosophy are intrinsically present in the way I share yoga. With morning and late afternoon classes (3-5 hours each day), we have a generous amount of time to dive into the deeper intentions and meanings of these practices with an approach that is engaging and accessible. This retreat welcomes people with all levels of experience! There are many retreat centers nowadays in Bali and yoga holidays are a booming business. In offering this retreat at a place that is not marketing itself as a retreat center, but is rather a modest and welcoming guesthouse in a rural area, the vision I have for myself and those of you who join is pretty well summed up in the motto for my business: Inner Adventure Travel -:- Being Yoga in the Real World In this offering, one could enjoy the time outside of yoga practice exploring the local village, walking in the rice fields or along the river, visiting the nearest small city of Klungkung, taking a day trip to the Mother Temple of Bali ‘Besakih’, or receiving a traditional massage. Local people can guide you on a hike up the slopes of Gunung Agung (The volcanic mountain which in the Balinese scheme of things is thought to be the center of the universe), or on any number of adventures in the region. Or you could spend your free time poolside, with a good book. The ‘real world’ of Bali has a merging of spirituality and daily life that is densely tangible, and naturally inspiring for yoga practitioners.
