This tour begins at 9:00 am at the Plaza San Blas in Historic Quito.
The tour ends at 2:30 pm at our final destination, Sereno Moreno.
This experience is aimed at those who want to know a little-explored part of the city in order to connect with local residents contributing to the economic and social revitalization of Barrio La Tola. This tour also highlights the reasons why Quito was declared the first Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 1978.
Starting at the Iglesia San Blas, we will walk through Barrio La Tola, passing emblematic locations that highlight culture, artisan tradition, gastronomy, art, music, murals, and architecture.
Throughout our tour, we will visit and chat while learning about important places like the Casa de las Bandas and the Iglesia Maria Auxiliadora, while visiting local businesses that continue to practice traditional trades such as shoemaking, hairdressing, and candy-making. We will also drop by the famous Plaza Belmonte and the Central Market.
This personalized experience will end with a culinary tasting of traditional Andean food and drink, including chicha, mote, fritada, and chicharrón with the best view of Quito's Historic Center.
