Tour guide and driver were very professional, and fun. .They did a great job. Other travelers were also fun and easy to be with. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The people who took my booking were very unorganized. I was receiving phone messages late the Friday before we left. I was unable to answer them. I was almost picked up at Bangor instead of Ludlow, had no food plan in place and they were confused about my room booking. Lucky for me it all worked aut with help from Marina. We were scheduled to be in PEI right when Hurricane Fiona was going to hit. For some mysterious reason they still sent us to PEI. We spent a day and a half in a hotel and then continued on our trip. We taxed the community that had no power and limited food and water. We did not get to see anything and they put us in danger. I think if someone spent an hour on the phone they could have found us a hotel in Maine where we would spend an extra day there. At least we could have seen some new things. I just cannot imagine what they were thinking.

First I would like to say that the hotels, the food and attractions were wonderful. The bus driver Angelina was wonderful ! She kept all us passengers safe. How could a bus break down on the high way, leak inside and TVs not working. It was a very boring ride. No games were played nothing was done to pass the time away. I have been on many bus tours before and they have always been very lively. Time management was terrible. My self and other passengers felt stressed and rushed. How could we even think to rush on the ferry to go to Mackinaw Island in 10 minutes when even the employee at the ferry said it was not possible yet our tour director was planning on doing just that. She more interested in her personal calls then attending to us passengers. Worse is pulling in to my drop off point that evening at 11:00 pm . I even found that the bus was leaving me behind because Julie didn’t even notice I wasn’t on the bus. The others told her so. Not sure why you can pick up in Milford Ct. I do know I will not be traveling with you again . Sorry for this review. Also there were two passengers celebrating their 50th anniversary and not even one little thing was done for them. Not even a cupcake. I done writing. Maryann Motanagh

Thank You for your feedback Maryann, We are thrilled you enjoyed the attractions, hotels and meals. A great driver is always important! Like any other mode of transportation, a bus can have mechanical problems as well. The important thing is when these do occur, the comfort and safety of our passengers is our priority. Julie made sure that was accomplished. There never was a scheduled pick-up in Milford. Unfortunately, we do not pick-up each traveler at their home and why we use a centralized pick-up point. Due to the mechanical issues with the bus, and to make sure we could make the ferry, Julie kept on the phone to work with the ferry company based on the timing of where the bus was at. Julie's time on the phone is working. Restaurants, attractions, hotels, etc. All need to be re-confirmed and times called-in. That is a very important role of a Tour Director. We pride ourselves on doing distinct things for our travelers for special events they may have. That said, unless we are made aware prior to departure, there is not much we can do to have a little something special arranged. Thank you again for traveling with Tours of Distinction. All your best in your future travels. Susana

The trip itself was amazing! The Venus were interesting and beautiful. The food was delicious (especially the buffet at The Grand on Mackinac Island). We enjoyed getting to know everyone on our bus, and they proved to be resilient and positive even when our bus broke down and our four hour trip turned into a nine hour trip. We were provided a backup bus to get to our next destination and while our bus was being repaired.

It was a great trip with a great group. The food and accommodations were very nice. Our bus broke down at one point but our guide and driver handled it as quickly and safely as possible.

We met interesting people from many states. The group, mostly older folk, turned into a small family looking out for each other. The tour itself was too rushed for seniors. The bus was very cramped and broke down on the highway. The driver never bothered to clean the bus and had a bad attitude about loading and unloading the bags. Often, there was no time to wash up before dinner. The bags didn’t make it to the room before our meal reservation time. Niagara Falls was a disappointment- only a city tour, no time or chance to actually visit the Falls. I have been on many guided bus tour in the USA and abroad, this tour needs much improvement. We got our information about bus pick up in Buffalo and Canada border entry two days before our departure. The tour ad needs to make it clear that you need a passport. The company needs to hire more staff to handle calls and questions.
