I love to travel so in my partially retired life I decided to adapt my passion for travel along with 25 years of experience in Travel & Tourism to create Trips by Patty. I received a BA in American History from UNC-Chapel Hill. Not knowing what I was going to do with that degree, I started working as a desk clerk at a hotel in Raleigh. I enjoyed the hotel business and the career path began. Hotel operations and sales, Convention Center operations and marketing, destination marketing with a Convention Visitors Bureau and even a stint as a tour guide. What happened to the history degree? Well, many times when I am escorting my trips I share the history of the destinations we visit. It's a great feeling to take your career skills and adapt them to your own small business. I love what I do and hope you'll join me on a trip one day!

We had a wonderful time. Met some great people from other communities and enjoyed the bus ride, as well as the accommodations, tours and eateries. Patty is a great host with lots of helpful advice, attention to our needs, and tips for travel. We look forward to another trip with Patty in the future!! Deb & Mark Delekto

We had a wonderful time. Very comfortable bus ride with old and new friends. Nice leisurely lunch. Loved the show! And our seats were fabulous! Grand Tier front row seats. Thanks Patty for another great day trip!

As always, Patty hosted another flawless trip. She is clear about times and locations and allows just enough free time so we never feel rushed. The show was spectacular and I would highly recommend using her to anyone.

We had a great time, the traffic and construction was a little unforgiving on the way to Asheville. But we had plenty of stops. The stop on the way home at Reynolda was an unexpected surprise and greatly appreciated. Another great trip from Trips by Patty
