      About this trip

      Quito Historic District

A UNESCO World Heritage Site the Historic District boasts of twisting alleyways, churches gilded in gold, and neogothic architecture.

Guayasamín was one of Ecuador's most famous painters. Inspired by Picasso, Guayasamín painted in an impressionist style and often featured the indigenous people of Ecuador and their stories in his work. Visit his Humanity's Chapel where he left some of his most famous work for the Ecuadorian People and international fans to visit in his studio, appreciate his work, and learn about the symbolism he imparted in his paintings.

Is the Trip Guaranteed to Run?

If we reach the minimum amount of people (2) that are required to run the trip, we will go. If there are concerns for passenger safety, the trip may be delayed or cancelled.  Force Majeure events in Ecuador may shut  businesses and/or affect the tourism sector and its transportation. Nancy is a passionate, self proclaimed, PR representative for insects. While earning her Master's degree at the University of Georgia in Entomology, it became crystal clear that most people did not see insects the way she did. Following her Master's, Nancy flew to the heart of the Ecuadorian cloud forest where she worked in an ecolodge. After two years, Nancy traded her leafy green jungle for the concrete jungle of Quito where she designs her own tours under the name SciBugs. She has been working in Ecuadorian Tourism since 2015.
