Our journey begins in Cayambe, where we’ll learn about traditional techniques used to prepare biscuits and leaf cheese. Along the way, we’ll enjoy spectacular views of the Cayambe and Imbabura Volcanoes and the San Pablo Lagoon.
We’ll then arrive at the world-famous Plaza de los Ponchos in Otavalo, the most renowned indigenous craft market in Ecuador, filled with vibrant textiles and handmade art.
Next, we’ll visit Cotacachi, a town celebrated for its fine leather goods, before continuing to the breathtaking Cuicocha Lagoon—also known as the Lagoon of the Gods. Located within a dormant volcanic crater at the foot of the Cotacachi Volcano, this lagoon features two small islands separated by the poetic Channel of Dreams.
