About this trip

Beneath the endless beauty beats a healing heart. Sedona has long been regarded as a place both sacred and powerful. It is a cathedral without walls. It is Stonehenge not yet assembled. People travel from all across the globe to experience the mysterious cosmic forces that are said to emanate from the red rocks. They come in search of the vortexes.

"What is a vortex?  Sedona vortexes (the proper grammatical form ‘vortices’ is rarely used) are thought to be swirling centers of energy that are conducive to healing, meditation and self-exploration. These are places where the earth seems especially alive with energy. Many people feel inspired, recharged or uplifted after visiting a vortex."

Sedona has the ability to transform lives. That’s its true power. The raw physical beauty. This is a place that inspires, recharges, uplifts, soothes, restores and so much more.  No one leaves Sedona unchanged.

No matter what paths you take while traveling through life, Sedona is always the scenic route. That’s a journey well worth taking.

Co-founder of GOYO adventures and currently residing in Breckenridge, Colorado where I am the marketing manager and yoga teacher at Meta Yoga Studios. I provide a class that is tailored to your needs whether it be to gain relief from chronic pain, facilitate injury recovery, improve flexibility, reduce stress, improve well-being, ease depression, or simply retain your youthfulness and energy.

Feeling blessed to have been raised in a family where travel was just as important as brushing our teeth, I have learned many things along the way…the desire to connect, explore, and step out of my comfort zone. These experiences have led me to wonderful locations, amazing trainings, and the ability to meet lovely and inspiring people along the way. They have also provided me with a cultural understanding, with the ability to provide helpful information and flexibility when working with clients.

My true passion lies in the efforts to combine travel and humanitarian work. I have traveled to Haiti with YogaHOPE offering the TIMBo training, which brings elements of safe touch, healing through experience and awareness to communities in need. My personality is expressed through my teachings and my travel experiences have created a greater awareness and acceptance with every encounter I make.

It was a fantastic trip! Mel is such a gifted yoga teacher! The food was amazing and the massage therapist and acupuncturist were also very skilled and fun to meet. I loved the smaller more intimate group size. I would highly recommend this trip!!!!
The accommodations were great!!! The yoga, massage, food and acupuncture was fabulous!! The location was great. My only compliant would be the NO Communication from Goyo prior to the trip. I did not get the email that most everyone got. Nor did the person I was traveling with. I had to do all my own research and go to Mel's yoga class to get all the information I needed (i.e. the address of the place we were staying, did I need to bring my own yoga mat, was the yoga outside so do I need warm yoga layers...)
We had a great time! Thanks for the wonderful community, skiing, and food.
What a great weekend adventure!!! Emily was amazing. She gives off such great energy and made the trip! The skiing was fun and yoga felt so good before and skiing/skinning (she come around and does adjustments which I LOVE). The massages were a nice plus and I felt pampered (really nice added perk). The hut is not like the 10th mountain huts in terms of bathrooms, water, etc. So just be prepared if you are going to Anne's (I think that was the name) it is a bit more bare bones but still a fun trip. The skiing around the hut was good too. And felt very safe. Food was good and healthy as well. LOVE EMILY! Would definitely do another trip with her :)
This was an amazing get away, it was a wonderful weekend of yoga, healthy eating and conversation. The massage and acupuncture where a couple of my favorite things along with enough down time to get to check some stuff out in town.
