Come join us on the beautiful southern tip of the Outer Banks for this 4 night retreat in a glorious sound-front home on the water. Our location boasts a heated pool, hot tub, waterfront gazebo, sound access for paddling, and a short walk to places like the beach, the ferry to Ocracoke Island, and the shops at Hatteras Landing.
Yoga classes will be offered twice a day, once before breakfast and once before dinner. Morning classes will focus on awakening postures and evening practices will be more restorative. All levels are welcome and you do not have to have any prior yoga experience to join us. Yoga classes will be instructed by Briana Kidd, a yoga teacher with over a decade of experience and the founder of High Country Yoga.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served every full day of the retreat. Dinner will be served after check-in on the first day and breakfast before checkout on the last day. We will have delicious vegetarian food with some seafood options prepared from scratch by Kim Hunter, an amazing chef and overall awesome person & yogi!
You will have the option to join Briana for a stand up paddleboard session around the sound with a stop to practice yoga on the water as well as the option to take the ferry to Ocracoke and check out the island.

Meet your Host & Yoga Instructor: Briana Kidd
Hi everyone! My name is Briana and I will be your go-to contact person for all things retreat-related! I am SO excited to retreat with you in the Outer Banks this year. Every time I go to Hatteras I feel like I am able to catch my breath from our fast-tracked world and really check in with myself. It is a special place to me and I hope to share the magic of it with YOU!
I am the yoga instructor for our trip and am planning classes that will be sure to nourish you and provide an all-levels experience for our special group. I am looking forward to diving deep, breaking things down, and really providing a space for us to reclaim the sacredness of our yoga practice. I am always open to taking requests, so please let me know if there is anything that you want to work on during this retreat and I can thread it in to our sessions together :)
Meet your Chef: Kim Hunter
Hello everyone! My name is Kim and I feel so honored to be able to curate a delicious and nourishing menu for you all on this retreat! I love crafting culinary experiences that bring people together, and High Country Yoga has been my yoga home since I moved to the area, so it feels really special to me to be a part of this experience with you. I am very much inspired by sustainable ingredients and I aim use food as a medium for love, connection, and healing. Prior to moving here, I was the proprietor of a farm-to-table Korean restaurant in Raleigh NC and now I really enjoy traveling nationwide to cook for retreats and events.
I will be cooking organic, vegetarian food for our retreat with some local seafood options. I am also more than happy to accommodate to a vegan diet and any other dietary guidelines you share with me. Our meals will be served as a buffet-style so that you can help yourself to all of your favorite yummy fixings. I look forward to an amazing time with all of you!
Space is limited. A $300 deposit reserves your room with the remaining balance due 15 days before departure. Deposit is non-refundable but $250 can be used toward a future retreat with us within 2 years of original purchase if cancellation is made before April 15, 2023 and approved by High Country Yoga. Registrations/cancelations made after April 15, 2023 will not be eligible for a refund.
Private room options in a sound-front home on the southernmost tip of Hatteras, NC. Home includes a waterfront gazebo, heated pool, hot tub & a short walk to the beach. Off-site cabins also available.
Healthy vegetarian meals with some seafood options curated by our talented chef, Kim Hunter (typically buffet-style). Dinner is included on the first day and breakfast on the last day.
Morning yoga flow and meditation followed by evening stretch and restorative yoga for relaxation. Classes are led by instructor Briana Kidd, the founder of High Country Yoga
Paddleboard around the sound (lesson and board provided) with an included stop for some paddleboard yoga
Crystal singing bowl meditation with a sunset view over the water
Relax by the pool, soak in the hot tub, read in the gazebo, watch the waves at the beach, journal on the deck, and simply enjoy each moment
Optional half-day trip to visit Ocracoke including a ferry ride to the island and options to explore Ocracoke Village, the lighthouse, the beautiful beaches, and more
Transportation to/from retreat home in Hatteras, NC is not included. Carpooling is an option for those coming from the same location. You will not need to drive anywhere during your stay.
