About this trip

Join us for a forest oasis yoga retreat in Decatur, where you can release what no longer serves you while you refresh and restore your body, mind and spirit.

Dana and Cathy will provide the time, space and carefully curated activities* that will center your spirit, calm your mind and nourish your body, all in an idyllic woodland setting just 6 miles from downtown Atlanta.  Leave the hustle and bustle of daily life behind and give yourself the gift of this mini-retreat. You deserve the break and the rewards of self care and self love you'll experience with us.  We'll be combining yoga, meditation, heart opening activities and Ayurvedic knowledge to provide the foundation for your restorative weekend.

You'll leave this weekend feeling replenished, ready to resume your day to day routines with a new outlook, and some new tools for keeping this blissful feeling going post retreat.

Participate in as much or as little of our activity as you like.  We welcome you to take whatever quiet, personal time you need during retreat to listen to your inner knowing, explore the wooded grounds, or sit a spell on the porch and just enjoy the stillness.

* Massages will be available as an add-on service.  Secure a massage reservation when completing your online registration.

FAQs

When should I place my deposit for this trip?

Your non-refundable deposit, or payment in full, is due with your online registration. Due to the limited availability of accommodations, the sooner you reserve your spot the better!

I have to cancel. Do I get my money back?

The $100 deposit for the retreat March 3-5, 2023 is nonrefundable.

Any cancellations of retreat fees paid in full prior to Jan. 3 will receive a refund of retreat registration fees minus the $100 nonrefundable deposit. After Jan. 3, 2023 no refunds will be given, but registration transfers can be made if approved in writing and any remaining balance due for the retreat is made upon transfer.

Should you wish to transfer your registration to another person, the request must be made in writing (via email is acceptable) by Jan. 3, 2023 and it must be approved by both Cathy Roberts Eads and Dana Rogers.

What airport is closest if I need to fly in?

Hartsfield Jackson Airport (ATL).

Do I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance is not required for the trip, but we highly recommend it to ensure you are covered should any unexpected event arise. A personal, political, environmental or weather-related incident or pre-existing or unexpected medical condition may prevent or interrupt your travels. These events are rare but do occur and make clear the importance of travel insurance coverage. There is a wide spectrum of policies and options so make sure you are clear on what is covered in the policy you are selecting, including delays, cancellations due to COVID-19, and medical evacuation if needed.

What will the yoga classes be like?

Our yoga classes are inclusive and welcoming for all levels. Although each teacher has a slightly different approach, our classes most closely resemble the Hatha style, which is slower paced. We combine pranayama (breath work), asanas (physical movement and holds of postures) and meditation.

What's the itinerary?

You will receive the full schedule upon your arrival in Decatur. We have planned an itinerary that provides time for yoga, rest, relaxation, learning, reflection and lots of fun.

Your Retreat Leaders

Cathy Eads and Dana Rogers are your guides on this unique forest oasis weekend retreat.

Cathy is a Yoga Alliance registered 200RYT and earned her certification through Sri Sri School of Yoga.  Cathy found yoga a little over 20 years ago, as a way to exercise without having to leave home or needing childcare. As her practice grew, she learned yoga has much to offer beyond physical asanas. The yogic way of life - focusing on equanimity, calming the mind and emotions through consistent yoga practice and meditation, recognizing the impermanence and uncertainty of life as the only permanent or certain things we will ever know, seeing the divine in all creation; even in the folks we find challenging to be around – all those life skills, knowledge and daily practices have brought her deep peace, lasting contentment and joy in the every day. On really rough days, which we all have sometimes, she knows what practices will bring her back to the middle path. Learn more about Cathy's services at https://findblissyoga.offeringtree.com/

Dana GW Rogers is a certified yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance E-RYT200 & RCYT100 with a practice over 25 years strong, she has taught yoga to various ages and skill levels throughout the North Georgia area. Specializing in families and youth. Her programs can be found in local schools and youth based organizations. With inspiration from the outside world of nature, her classes are creatively and intelligently designed to complement each practitioner that shares a mat space in her guidance. Yoga classes under her care are often accompanied by sound healing instruments such as singing bowls. Utilizing her musical background she intuitively guides the sound healing instruments to align with her client's energy. By background she is a Science & Spanish Educator.
