Looking to manage your mental health and release negative patterns of thought that no longer serve you? Interested in healing your mind and body through intention-setting, yoga, and mindfulness strategies? Craving an escape from your everyday routine so you can come back as a higher version of yourself?
Come join Sandy at The Yoga Forest to prioritize space for your own healing, growth, and transformation! Enjoy daily vinyasa yoga practices and participate in workshops; expect to leave with tangible mindfulness-based tools you can use to release, renew, and reset whenever you need. Explore San Marcos la Laguna and play in Lake Atitlán. Participate in sacred rituals and ceremonies to connect with yourself, your spirit, and the world around you. Come exactly as you are.
Sandy can help guide you through arrival day travel, but we recommend checking out the Getting Here page on the Yoga Forest website for all the details. Please reach out if you'd like Sandy to arrange for a private group shuttle from the Guatemala City Airport or Antigua.
The Yoga Forest is an off-the-grid experience. Composting bathrooms, outdoor shower and naturally built cabañas without electricity. There are no private bathrooms anywhere on the property.
We only have a little electricity in our cafe and kitchen for lights, and as such we cannot charge everyone's devices on our simple solar system. Another reason to be disconnected!
There are spiders and scorpions in the forest. It is a forest, there are other creatures too of course. But it is always good to know. Mosquitoes are not a problem, but there are small coffee flies that can be bothersome during the early dry season. Bring some natural insect repellent or wear long pants.
During the night the place is almost in complete darkness since the power is 100% off. We highly recommend you bring a headlamp, torches or anything they might need to walk around the forest during the night.
We suggest to use a backpack and pack light! Only bring the essentials and your adventurous spirit.
