About this trip

Restore your nervous system and replenish your toolkit with yoga and Reiki in nature.

This four-day retreat takes place amidst the beautiful redwoods on sacred Ohlone land in what is now known as Los Gatos, CA. 

Each morning begins with a movement and meditation practice, followed by a delicious brunch. Spend the afternoons with Reiki Master, Lakenda Wallace, who will be offering Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 training and certification as part of the overall healing methodologies offered for the weekend. Spend your free time exploring the property -  hiking, reading poolside, soaking in the cedar hot tub, or making new friends! We'll gather each evening for a communal dinner followed by restorative practices to regenerate the mindbodysoul connection.

All meals will be ovo-vegetarian (vegan and gluten free available upon request) consisting of fresh fruit, seasonal veggies, eggs, grains, legumes, delicious spices and lots of hydration! Healthy & delicious snacks included.

Things to know

I see brunch and dinner mentioned in the itinerary, will there also be breakfast?

There won't be a formal sit down breakfast, but there will be plenty of fresh fruit for the early risers to enjoy before our morning movement sessions.

What are the sleeping arrangements like?

Think summer camp style - you have the option of camping or sleeping in the shared sleeping yurt that sleeps up to 10. 

Will I be sharing a room with someone else?

There are ten single beds in the shared sleeping yurt. So, if you're booking that option you will be sharing space with others.

Do I need to bring my own food or snacks?

You are more than welcome to bring your own food and snacks. However, you will be served nourishing meals and healthy snacks each day.

Are kids allowed to attend?

Leave the kiddos at home this weekend, it's all about rest and relaxation!

How about pets?

No pets allowed.

Is there a heater/AC in the yurts?

There is a fireplace in each yurt, as well as electrical outlets for space heaters and fans. 

What if I'm sharing a tent with someone else, do we both need to buy tickets?

Yes, prices are per person and each individual needs to purchase a ticket. If you are sharing a tent with another traveler, please indicate who you will be sharing with when completing your participant information.

Is the retreat weather permitting?

Safety is our biggest concern, so as long as the roads are safe to drive on and there aren't any wildfires, the retreat is on! If you're camping, there's space to move inside if it rains. 

Will there be free time between activities?

YES. Yes. And yes! This is a weekend dedicated to nurturing yourself and there will be plenty of free time to do as you please. Head to Santa Cruz for the afternoon, chill by the pool,  go for a hike, get certified in Reiki 1 & 2... whatever your heart desires!

Do I have to participate in all activities?

Ideally you'll be able to attend the opening and closing ceremonies. Otherwise, you are more than welcome to join in or sit out anytime you choose. *Individuals who are interested in receiving certification for Reiki 1 & 2 must participate in both workshops. 

What is there to do on the property during free time?

Hiking, soaking in the cedar hot tub, reading by the pool, sunning on the deck, journaling, meditation, and more! Bear Creek Redwoods Open Reserve is 1 mile away, about a 25 minute walk.

Will there be any alcohol/other substances or can I bring my own? 

I'd be first in line for mimosas in the morning, but this weekend is all about restoring our nervous system and replenishing our reserves. We won't be serving any alcoholic beverages this weekend and ask that you leave the substances at home. Thank you! (Quick check in: When was the last time you spent an entire weekend sober and steeped in practices designed to restore your systems? Not that there's anything wrong with a wild weekend away with your besties, just something to consider!)

COVID-19 Safety Measures

If you are experiencing symptoms in the days leading up to the retreat, please stay home. 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests submitted within 15 days of retreat date, 50% of total amount (less deposit) will be refunded. 

No refunds available if cancellation request is submitted within 14 days of retreat date.

Full refund (less deposit) if cancelling due to testing positive for COVID-19 prior to retreat.

If for any reason the retreat gets cancelled by your organizer, you will receive proper notice and a full refund.
