You're invited to be an energetic being having a human experience.
What does it mean to restore?
What would it feel like if your only job for the weekend was just existing?
How amazing would it be to have space to fully exhale?
Not answering emails.
Not meal prepping.
Not squeezing one more thing into your calendar.
Not trying to become a "better version" of yourself.
If all that sounds like a delightful long weekend then I’ll hope you’ll join me for
Restore at the Shore, a Wellness Retreat on Maryland's Eastern Shore
This isn't a retreat where every minute is scheduled or where you'll be expected to have a breakthrough before breakfast. It's simply a few days designed to remind you what it feels like to have space…it’s a retreat to restore.
There’s an itinerary of course, but everything is optional.
You could do sunrise yoga on the beach…or sleep in (without the kids needing breakfast)
You could paddle with the wild ponies…or finish a book (the one that’s been on your nightstand for weeks)
You could play pickleball with a new friend…or wander through the shops in Berlin (pretending you don't need another candle but you're going to buy it anyway)
This isn't a retreat where every minute is scheduled or where you'll be expected to have a breakthrough before breakfast. It's simply a few days designed to remind you what it feels like to have space…it’s a retreat to restore.
We'll move our bodies during yoga each morning because it feels good, not because we're trying to burn off dinner.
We'll gather together for incredible farm-to-table meals prepared by local chef Ben, whose seasonal cooking is reason enough to come.
We'll end our days with sound baths, laughter, and the kind of conversations that only happen when you’re not on your phone.
We will restore. As individuals and as a community, we will restore. Because rest (part of restoration) is a requirement, not a reward.
I’d love to restore at the shore with you this October
The Assateague Holiday House, located just minutes from the wild expanse of Assateague National Seashore, will serve as our home base for restoration. Less than 3 hours drive from Baltimore / DC, the home has comfortable accommodations for up to 10 guests. Be advised we are in a shared house, gathering as a community. Depending on the accommodations you select, you will be sharing a bedroom and / or bathroom with others. We are not staying in a hotel, this is community living.
