We promise a delightful weekend filled with inspiration, color, and the joy of creativity! This retreat is your perfect chance to discover new tips and techniques for sewing, with live demos, workshops with Mariana and hands-on guidance throughout the weekend. Whether you're a seasoned sewist or just starting out, join us for a weekend of stitching, learning, and sweet treats in the heart of Virginia's countryside.

This retreat is designed for you learn from our featured designer in addition to working on your own projects. With plenty of time to work on projects in a relaxing and creative atmosphere, this retreat offers the perfect balance of learning, crafting, and fun! Come join us and enjoy our chocolate treats.

We are delighted to have Mariana of Sew Mariana as our featured designer teaching workshops at our February Retreat. We know you will LOVE her beautiful quilts as much as we do! Her patterns are easy to read and filled with color... just like her quilts.

We are planning a full day workshop on Saturday, included for all, and an optional half day Friday workshop in additional to a Trunk Show. Workshop details will be announced later this year... we promise you'll love them.

Prepare to be pampered at the Berry Hill Resort in South Boston, Virginia.  This 700 acre site is open arms for all quilters, stitchers and sewists of all levels.

• Large individual table to spread out & leave set up at night
• Ergonomic chairs on wheels, with height adjustment

• Arrive Friday at 8 am and stitch 'til Sunday at 4 pm
• Stitch or sew all night... room open as long as 2 people are present!

• Berry Hill is an 1800s mansion on 700 acres
• Reserve your spacious sleeping room at our group rate by calling Berry Hill at (434) 517-7000. We have rooms blocked for you, so they may show sold out on line.

A Checklist of What to Bring is emailed prior to the retreat, PLUS is available on the itinerary for use on the mobile app. This list has been compiled over the years from attendees and you will find it quite helpful. To help you plan, here's a short list:

• Your sewing machine. We do have a few to rent for the weekend, be sure to add that request in your participant information section

• General Sewing supplies

• Projects you want to work on 

We make it easy for you to pack and not run around before your trip! When we have a class, our kits include everything you need except piecing thread. 

Payments can be made with credit cards, ACH debits from bank accounts, or checks

·  Checks may be sent to Salem Stitches, 832 S Main Street, Winston Salem, NC 27101 and will added to your dashboard page when received

·  Credit Card payments are subject to a 3% fee

·  ACH payments (direct debit from your bank account) have zero fees

·  Deposits made through Salem Stitches applied as Cash payments

·  Automatic reminders and payments can be set up

Cancellation policy: The $100 deposit is non-refundable, but may be transferred to another retreat. If you cancel more than 120 days prior to the retreat, all monies paid, less deposit & processing fee  will be  transferred to another retreat or refunded to original payment source. More than 30 days prior, all monies not committed to vendors will be transferred to another retreat or refunded.  30 days or less before the retreat, refunds simply cannot be made. At any time, your payments may be transferred to a new attendee coming in your place.

You have a personal "Dashboard" which  allows you to keep your information, such as contact info and food allergies, current!

This optional day gives you extra time to settle in, explore the venue, and begin working on your projects before the retreat officially kicks off. Enjoy a relaxing, laid-back atmosphere with fellow quilters, and start your weekend off with a creative boost. It’s the perfect way to make the most of your retreat experience!

Kick off your weekend in the best way possible with Sewcial Friday! It’s all about sewing, socializing, and sharing the joy of quilting & stitching with fellow enthusiasts. Whether you're starting a new project or working to finish something special, this day is filled with creative energy, helpful tips, and plenty of fun. Get inspired, make new friends, and set the tone for a fantastic retreat weekend!

We will have an optional Friday afternoon workshop with Mariana. Details coming soon.

Get ready for a full day of quilting bliss with Sewcial Saturday! Dive into the Workshop with Mariana. Her techniques, Tips & Tricks are sure be be a great addition to your "toolbox"! Pattern & Workshop included. Fabric kits available.
