Need a break? Me too. Join me for a three day getaway into nature with the sole purpose of relaxing and unwinding.
The Location:
We will spend Friday afternoon through Sunday mid-day at beautiful Ratna Ling, a Tibetan Buddhist retreat center tucked in the Redwoods just a few miles from the Pacific Coast.
The Practice:
Yoga will be offered four times over the weekend.
Friday:
We will have a grounding practice Friday evening to arrive, brush off the dust of travel and settle into the weekend.
Saturday:
Saturday morning we will do a balanced, invigorating vinyasa practice that will awaken and revitalize the body and deepen your practice of hip-openers, back bends, arm balances, inversions, and standing poses (with modifications provided, of course, for those who need them).
On Saturday afternoon, we will do a workshop-style practice focused on hip and back-body opening, seated forward bends, side bends and twists.
Sunday:
Sunday morning, we will have a nourishing, heart opening, Bhakti-filled practice to leave you feeling inspired, rooted and renewed.
The Details:
You will be fed five delicious organic, vegetarian meals. Much of the food is grown on location, and it is all made with love.
You will stay in a lovely, spacious, modern cottage, in a private room with a queen-size bed all to yourself. You and your cottage mate will have a deck to lounge on, a fireplace to sit by with a glass of wine or a good book, and a jacuzzi tub to soak in at your leisure.
Speaking of which, you are allowed to bring wine and beer to enjoy in your cottage. Ratna Ling is a drug-free and smoke-free facility (including marijuana).
If you prefer to spend your down time hiking, you can explore the 76 miles of ancient redwoods and coastline surrounding the facility.
This is your getaway, so if a nap or a hike is what you need instead of yoga, that is totally fair game.
