In the old cultures of Indigenous Mexico, giving is a gift and reciprocity is the foundation of society. In the spirit of reciprocity , we have created an immersive four-day journey with the intention of connecting with the essence of this timeless wisdom. Led by Kristen Victor, a small group of us will step into the elegant layers of what makes this land particularly special. By gathering. the elements of a shared feast, woven tapestries and clothing, handmade pottery and candles to dried chilis, chocolate seeped in ancient traditions, we immerse ourselves in the living, subtle wisdom of Indigenous Oaxaca.

We will immerse ourselves into the living and the beauty of the Zapoteca village, Teotitlan de Valle. Our immersion will include gathering with master weavers + dyers, on their land to learn about the native plants in their subtle wisdom. Water conservation is an element of resiliency we have been supported in a 5 year water conservation project. We will visit the workshops of the next generation weavers, sons and daughters of Colectivo Bii Dauu. We will share a feast with Colectivo Bii Dauu in their home. This is always a highlight of our trip. And of course, there is an opportunity to shop the collections of hand made goods.
