About this trip

Return to Aloha Retreat

Big Island, Hawai'i • October 7th–14th, 2026

Welcome to Return to Aloha — an intimate 8 day / 7 night healing retreat nestled in the lush jungle of Hawai'i Island at Sunshine Sacred Sanctuary, a beautiful off-grid sanctuary in the heart of Puna designed for rest, reconnection, healing, and transformation.

Set on a private tropical fruit farm surrounded by jungle, birdsong, rain showers, fruit trees, and the powerful energy of the Big Island, this retreat invites you to slow down and return to what truly matters. (Sunshine Sacred Sanctuary)

This isn’t a luxury influencer retreat with packed itineraries and pressure to constantly “do.”

This is a down-to-earth, heart-centered experience intentionally created for women craving:

  • nervous system rest

  • meaningful connection

  • healing space

  • nature immersion

  • community

  • movement

  • ceremony

  • softness

  • and space to simply breathe again

We’ll gather and stay at the sanctuary’s eco-friendly yurts — beautiful circular structures intentionally designed to help guests feel more connected to nature, grounded, and at peace. The yurts are nestled amongst lush orchards and tropical greenery, offering a unique off-grid experience that encourages simplicity, presence, and reconnection with the Earth. (Sunshine Sacred Sanctuary)

The sanctuary itself describes the land as “a healing vortex of peace and transformation,” created as a refuge for people seeking healing, nourishment, community, and connection with the Aina (land). (Sunshine Sacred Sanctuary)

Throughout our week together, we’ll experience a blend of intentional healing offerings and spacious free time to simply exist.

Included Experiences

✨ Gentle Yoga with Maggie & Lindsey
✨ Sound Baths & Meditation with Stephanie
✨ Cacao & breath-work ceremony with a local facilitator Pati Hoyt
✨ A deeply supportive full-day grief ceremony led by local facilitators Alicia Sunflower & Greg
✨ Harp sound bath journey with a Big Island sound healer Mia Margaret
✨ Astrology readings with Painted Goddess
✨ Slow mornings with continental breakfast
✨ Time to explore beaches, waterfalls, sacred sites, hot ponds, and the magic of Big Island
✨ Community connection, rest, laughter, sunsets, and spaciousness

We highly encourage guests to rent a car during the retreat to allow for easy transportation to and from Hilo airport as well as the freedom to explore the beauty of Hawai'i Island during our spacious free time. Many beaches, restaurants, and attractions — including the black sand beaches — are not within walking distance of the sanctuary.

One of the most special aspects of this retreat is the sanctuary itself.

Located in the Puna district of the Big Island, the property is intentionally rooted in earth-based living and connection to nature. Guests may experience tropical rain showers, fruit growing directly from the trees, coqui frogs singing at night, warm jungle air, star-filled skies, and the simplicity of off-grid island living. (Sunshine Sacred Sanctuary)

This retreat is for women feeling called to:

  • reset and recharge

  • reconnect with themselves

  • move through grief or transition

  • unplug from constant productivity

  • experience authentic community

  • reconnect with nature

  • soften their nervous system

  • remember joy, wonder, and presence again

Healing doesn’t always happen through doing more.

Sometimes healing looks like:

  • star gazing

  • afternoon naps

  • crying safely

  • laughing with strangers who become friends

  • journaling in the orchard

  • listening to the rain on the yurt roof

  • watching the sunrise in silence

  • hearing sound bowls beneath the jungle canopy

  • remembering yourself again

Accommodations

Guests will stay in cozy off-grid yurts with queen bunk beds surrounded by tropical fruit trees and lush jungle landscapes. The yurts include bathrooms, kitchenettes, wifi, and a comfortable, nature-connected atmosphere designed for simple and peaceful living. (Sunshine Sacred Sanctuary)

This retreat is intentionally intimate and limited to only 4-6 women.

Included

  • 8 days / 7 nights accommodations

  • 6 Continental breakfasts

  • Yoga & movement offerings

  • Sound healing experiences

  • Cacao & breath-work ceremony

  • Full-day grief ceremony

  • Retreat support throughout the week

  • Community gatherings & connection experiences

  • Fresh Fruit from the generous Aina (land)

Not Included

  • Airfare

  • Airport transportation

  • All lunches, dinners, snacks

  • Optional excursions & activities

-(there is a LOT to see on Big Island. Please obtain a rental car so you can explore during your free time- if you wish to do so.)

A Note From Stephanie & Maggie

We created Return to Aloha as an invitation to pause.

To step away from the noise of everyday life and remember what it feels like to move slowly, breathe deeply, connect honestly, and be supported in community.

Our intention is not perfection.
It’s presence.

We’re gathering a small group of kind humans together to experience the beauty, healing energy, and transformative magic of Hawaii Island in a grounded, heartfelt, and authentic way.

If your soul has been asking for rest…
If your heart needs space to breathe…
If you’ve been longing for connection, healing, beauty, nature, and softness…

We would love to welcome you.

🌺 Rest. Heal. Connect. Return to You. 🌺
