She believes in the potency of breath as the most powerful natural resource for deep healing of the heart, transformation of the mind and connection to Spirit. This was my first "getaway" yoga retreat. I felt thoroughly nourished by the settling-a resort connected to a sustainable farm-as well as challenged in the daily practices. Stacie is truly a master at leading these retreats. She seems to have an ability to tune into the group and provide the support and guidance and leadership that is needed. The location of this retreat and the schedule provided a nice amount of time off to explore the beautiful Kohala Coast coastline. I would return again!

The trip was stellar. The retreat grounds are serene and provide the perfect backdrop for yoga and an all-around meditative experience! The main deficits were the weak and luke-warm coffee provided in the morning and room/washroom amenities. If anyone is looking for an exceptionally led retreat by a one-of-a-kind mind/body specialist, I would highly recommend tagging on to a group retreat led by Stacie Overby. Having said that, don’t share that too widely because the group intimacy is a huge factor in making it a soulful and deeply integrative experience!

I have taken Stacy's classes for many years at the studio. She is a thoughtful teacher that challenges her students to dive deeper beyond the physical postures. I appreciate the way she weaves her philosophy into the practice, Thank you Stacy for a wonderful gathering.

I always enjoy the time I spend with Stacie. Anywhere with her is a space where I can drop in, tune in and learn so much about myself through intriguing talks, quiet focus and moving through my asana practice. I'm so grateful to have her as a teacher and an influence in my life - she makes me a better person!

Haramara is an incredible gem in Sayulita. It is like coming home to restoration, to simplicity, to nature, to the ocean. Going on retreat with Stacie is a true treasure too. She powerfully holds space for deep transformation and internal reflection. What an incredible trip!

Stacie's Big Island retreat in late January provided much more than I was hoping for. We practiced and meditated together with serene views of the sea through a stand of tall trees with nightly views of the waxing full moon. Just after meditating outside one morning, close to where the shore cliffs plummeted down to the rocky beach, a whale came by to remind us that doing anything outside is almost always better than doing it inside. The Hawaiian Island Retreat is in a secluded, lush farm-like setting with lovely accommodations, huge rooms with great high ceilings or the option of quaint yurts and outdoor showers. The food was great, and the staff were extremely accommodating to all our needs. This was my first retreat with Stacie, and I hope there will be more. She planned the perfect schedule with just the right combination of free time, yoga, dharma talks and meditation. I was delighted that we were only 8, including Stacie, which made for great conversation, lingering at the table after dinner, with lots of laughs and a chance to know one another more than I am used to in bigger groups. Stacie's real talent, aside from her super advanced knowledge of yoga poses and technique, is her skill at clearly communicating various aspects of sometimes esoteric yoga philosophy, so as to make it accessible and meaningful to those of us without a more basic understanding of it. Stacie also has a keen sense of how to incorporate her chosen themes into the practice and carry them through the week. If you haven't been to one of Stacie's retreats, you won't regret it, especially if you get to do it in Hawaii.
