Airport Transport
Transportation from Aguadilla Airport (BQN) to Rincon. Transportation back to Aguadilla Airport (BQN)
Continental Breakfast
Freshly baked Puerto Rican pastries and fresh local fruits will be made available every morning in the Cofresi Resort Restaurant
Surf Board Rental
Surfboard rentals are available throughout the retreat at no additional cost
Surfing Lessons
Instructors will be provided at. no additional cost.
Excursion Transportation
Transportation to and from Gozalandia Waterfalls and Parguera Mangroves
Jiu Jitsu Training
There will be 6 training sessions over 4 days.
Sunday food and drinks
Lunch on Sunday which consist of BBQ chicken, rice y gundules, and yuca will be provided on the boat trip as well as Sundays BBQ dinner. Beer and soft drinks will be provided as well.

Wednesday night fly out of Newark airport for a 9:00pm flight going directly to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico (only 3.5 hours).

After landing you will be picked up and driven to Rincon which is only about a 30 minute ride. Get some shut eye.

Surf/Training and Art Walk
Thursday we will wake up around 8:30 for a surf session. Surf boards and instructors will be available. Surf session will end around 11:30am. We will then grab lunch at Jacks Peace ☮️ Shack located at the famous Maria’s beach!

After lunch, everyone will head back and get some rest before a 5:00pm training session at Rincon Jiu Jitsu Gym.

Training session, will consist of 1 hour drilling and technique followed by 30 minutes live training. Afterwards, everyone will return home and get ready to head to downtown Rincon. Here, we will participate in the world famous Art Walk which consist of great restaurants, artisans selling their works and live music to dance to. Try not to stay out too late because we will be right back at it in the morning.

Training/Surfing and Gozlandia Waterfall
Friday we will wake up at 8:30am where we will have breakfast before chasing the stoke ??.

After another optional surf session we will be heading to Gozalandia Waterfall in San Sebestian where we will be cliff jumping, rope swinging, or cooling off in the natural springs before having lunch at the restaurant and bar on site.

We will return home around 3:00 where you will be able to rest and chill before our evening Jiu Jitsu training session.

Friday night we will be partying in Puntas at Tamboo right by the water at Sandy’s beach.

Q&A with 6 Black Belts and Sunset at Lighthouse/Surf Sesh
Saturday morning we will sleep in a bit before heading to the gym for an open mat which will start at 11:30.

Afterwards we will go for brunch at an awesome place called Cafe Isle.

Saturday afternoon will be up to you. You can snorkel, mountain bike, or just relax. We will head over to the domes beach and the lighthouse where you can either grab a Medalla or surf the sunset.

In the evening, we will grab dinner and the night is yours.

Open Mat/La Parguera/BBQ
Sunday morning there will be a 1 hour open mat from 8:00am-9:00am. We will leave at 10am sharp to La Parguera where we will be packing coolers of beer and carbon chicken, rice y gundules, and yuca. We will rent boats to explore the mangroves and little islands in the Caribbean Sea. There will be lots of other people on boats partying and working on their tan. This will be a day trip and we will all return back to my house by 5:30pm and continue with a BBQ to just chill after an incredible weekend. Everyone will leave for the airport around 11:00pm for your 1:50am flight home.

You will arrive back at Newark airport approximately Monday at 5:00am.

Rincon Jiu Jitsu is s a part of Legion Jiu Jitsu Association and located in the beautiful town of Rincón Puerto Rico. The gym is own and operated by Steven Barnett who is an IBJJF certified 1st degree black belt under the UFC veteran, Kurt Pellegrino and grappling legend, Marcelo Garcia. Head instructor Sean Locke who is a 4th degree “Brazilian Top Team” black belt has been running a Jiu Jitsu program in Rincón for nearly 5 years. We are thankful that you have chosen us to help guide you along your martial arts journey!

Amazing experience put together by professor Steve. The jiu-jitsu instructional seminar by nick and Danny was next level and improved my game tremendously. Whether we were training or rock climbing we had a great time. The perfect blend of jiu-jitsu and adventure and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Everything about this trip was amazing! The accommodations exceeded my expectations, as did our island excursions. Everyone I met was genuinely kind and very personable. I'm looking forward to seeing them again at the next retreat. Most importantly, the jiu jitsu portion of the retreat was done in a manner that was challenging, yet safe. We trained harder than most gyms train, but everyone was also mindful of individual safety. As a disabled veteran, I can honestly say they earned my trust in this regard, and can be trusted with other at risk populations.
