Rafael & Fernando made sure my wife and I had an unbelievable experience on Rio Serrano. The communication prior to our full day trip made us feel comfortable and they put us on fish in one of the most beautiful places to do the sport of fly fishing on earth. We have an intention to come back again soon and try some new locations with them. Thank you Magallanes!

We had a great time with Marcelo our guide. He is knowledgeable about everything from fishing to history and culture. The picnic lunch was fabulous. Took us to a private estancia that was gorgeous secluded and my husband caught 5 fish. A perfect day.

An extraordinary experience through Magallanes and Fernando. I booked an excursion out of Puerto Natales for My wife and I on very short notice, but they were very kind and responsive to our needs. easy and responsive communication on WhatsApp to customize our time on the water. they picked us up in the morning from our hostel. I am an experienced fly fisherman, with many guided trips both in the US and internationally, but my wife is much less experienced. We coordinated a trip to the Rio Penitente. A beautiful freestone river where we proceeded to catch big browns on big dry flies all day long! and the river to ourselves. never saw another angler. A true lifetime experience. My wife caught more and bigger fish than she ever had, and our guide, Fernando, could not have been more knowledgeable and patient. As we were in the region to backpack Torres de Paine, we came without any gear. They fully outfitted us: boots, waders, fly rods, reels, flies. The quality of the gear was solid. Our lunch was served riverside in late afternoon, a full charcuterie spread with local wine & beer. After lunch we continued to slay fish until 7pm before heading back. A true full day experience. Great memories, great photos, great service. I can't recommend them enough.

Rafael and his team are a total class act! From initial contact to the amazing trip itself we felt truly cared for. He and his wife made an amazing spread for lunch and we (as total novices) got treated with the utmost of respect and taught the correct methods for fly fishing in this area. What a great experience, don't even hesitate to book, it is 100% worth it!!

My daughter is a avid fly fisherman and is currently in her 3rd year of medical school. Since she has very limited time off, we scheduled a special trip to Patagonia for a much needed break, going hiking and fishing. We scheduled an all day trip with Rafael in Torres Del Paine for the nicest weather day, a day before our departure. My daughter had a fantastic time as Rafael provided all the equipment and a very nice lunch spread. Although they tried and went to several spots, the one king salmon that she hooked was so big that when she was about the land it, it broke the line and got away.......yes another fishing story. However, given my daughter's disappointing outcome, Rafael was able to assist us in scheduling a half day adventure before our departure so that my daughter had the experience of catching some amazing fish before leaving Patagonia. We are truly grateful for his care and professionalism. I recommend him highly for any fishing experience. A true gentleman. Muchas Muchas Gracias!!

We booked a fly fishing trip with Magallanes to go into the park. Rafael was our guide and owner of the company. Really great guy with a ton knowledge and history about the area. He provided everything we needed for the trip, including gear (near new condition), pick up from our hotel, and an amazing lunch. I wish I could upload a picture of this lunch spread as it was fantastic... I was expecting sandwiches and a juice box but Rafael really spared no expense and even provided Gluten free options for my wife. It was a 5-star accommodation. During our trip, the winds were crazy high so we didn't actually get to fly fish, only reel but we did catch a large brown trout. He knew all the spots and provided a good overview of the area. We tried a few different spots along the river so it was nice to see different areas. Talking to him you can really tell he cares about the environment by cleaning up other fishermen's trash and ensured we were leaving no impact on the sites from our visit. He is involved in the local governing body that manages fishing access in Patagonia. I can't applaud him enough for this mentality of preserving the area for future generations! He went out of his way to help a Magellan goose that had fishing line wrapped around its legs. He used a net to capture the goose and with our help, we were able to free the line from its legs which saved its life. The goose and its 4 family members stuck around after while we fished. It was a great experience and we recommend his company to others. Wish we could come back for another run!
