We got a private guide for the two of us hiking. It was really nice because you miss out a lot of details (like the geography, culture and history) when you hike without a guide. One of the hiking days was cloudy and raining, but the guide took us to a hike (lake, waterfalls and a tea house) that was beautiful and did not require clear skies to enjoy. There were very few hikers on that trail unlike the popular ones. One day my hiking buddy got injured and had to turn back, which allowed me to proceed with the hike, knowing that he was safe walking back with the guide. It has been a while and I forgot the name of the guide. I highly recommend the guide service. It was expensive but worth the money.

We really liked it. The apartment was perfect for a hiking vacation. Clean, warm at night, practical kitchen, and a nice steaming hot blasting shower after a day of hiking. Even better, located right over the top of a outfitters store (Patagonia Hikes) for hiking clothes or equipment. The location is easy walking distance to some of the best places to eat in El Chaltén and shopping to. The best thing about this apartment is that the local manager of the apartment and the persons that work in the store are very helpful for information about places to go, the best hikes once done with the obvious Fitz Roy Laguna de los Tres, and other local information needs. And the wireless work very well. I would not hesitate to return to this apartment.

This was a great excursion! We did a two day hike to Mt Fitz Roy. The guide was knowledgeable and fun. The campsite was quite nice. We had some great food from the chef, Fede, and the tents were comfortable. I highly recommend doing this trip in Patagonia!

I had a great experience with Vicky. She was very patient and an excellent guide. I learned so much from her on the Laguna de Los Tres hike.
