Before You Go

Check-In is at 3pm. Check-Out is at 11:30am.

Let me know your flight info so I can coordinate your transportation to/from Caveland.

The local Greek dishes range from vegetarian to pescatarian. The retreat staff doesn't take any tips, but they love chocolate :)

The Weather:

Early October is best for having warm beaches still heated from September, though evenings will need a light sweater/jacket. We will see lows of 18°C and highs of 25°C until mid-October when it begins to get really cooled down. Because it's post-tourist season we get the dope climate without the insane crowds!

The Flights

Honestly, it is WAY cheaper to book a multi-segmented flight than to fly direct:

1. First flight from your home to a general location in Europe

2. Second flight using a local European airline to Santorini (JTR), Greece.

PROTIP: Use Google Flights and type in "Europe" as the Destination. Look at the cheaper-priced flights to places like Spain, Italy, Germany, etc. There are usually crazy fire-sale deals as well.

Need to Arrive Earlier Because the Flights are so Damn Long?

Not to worry. I get it. You can book an additional night prior to the retreat. Just mention my name and this Rogue Yogi Retreat when booking!

Requirements Before You Board the Flight

1. Have your passport renewed. It must not expire within 6 months of arriving, or you will not be allowed to depart the US

2. Purchase your Travelers' Insurance and have proof ready to show upon arrival. This is for your own safety and precaution as well as a requirement of the resort.

The Retreat Location's Amenities

Free wireless internet.

Wheelchair access to some of the caves.

Options to rent a beach towel, hair dryer and a security safe.

Free luggage storage on your arrival or before your departure.

Vending machines with drinks and snacks.

Laundry service.

Donation based coffee-bar and book swamp.

Optional Tours

Volcano and Hot Springs boat trip: 42 Euros/person

Hike from Fira to Oia

Private tour to Ancient Akrotiri, local winery, Pyrgos village and photo stops at various spots: 750 Euros for the group.
Cooking Class: 60 Euros/person with a minimum of 6 people

BOOKING A SINGLE SPOT IN A DOUBLE OR QUAD CAVE

We do our very best to meet all rooming requests and in certain situations, which are rare, we might have to modify the request. We cannot guarantee we will fill in the other spots in your cave.

CANCELLATION OF YOUR RETREAT

Any cancellation will result in a total loss of $250 USD. Any cancellation made between: September 2nd, 2017 and August 1st 2017 will result in a loss of 50% of the trip price. Any cancellation made between: August 2nd 2017 and the trip departure will result in a total loss of funds. We reserve the right to cancel the trip if it is not meeting the trip minimum (if we do so your deposit is refunded in full). Trip cancellation insurance is always recommended whenever making travel plans. You can use our suggested Travel Guard Insurance online and choose from several policy options.

REMAINING PAYMENT

Whether you pay in installments or the rest in whole, they’ll be due by September 1st, 2017

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The fulfillment of this agreement by either party is subject to acts of God, war, governmental regulation, disaster, hurricane, flood, influential terrorist attacks, strikes, civil disorder, and curtailment of required transportation, or other emergencies in Greece making it impossible to travel will result in a credit being issued for a future retreat.

-Getting sick

Amazing time with Julie and our group in Bali!! Dare to be free retreat was informative, interactive, cultural, created and prompted social awareness and acceptance. Loved the resort, food, company, and easy atmosphere that Julie created for all of us. Would highly recommend!!! xoxox

Where do I start? Walk in, float out is the perfect description for the entire retreat. Julie is a gem, not only in her yoga practice, but as a human being -- very caring, very dedicated. You're better for knowing her. I think that what I loved most about the yoga portion of the retreat is that if you're fairly new to yoga, or just out of practice, she supports you 100% by tailoring all poses to you. Safety and comfort are a priority -- no injuries! :) But that is just scratching the surface of this retreat as a whole. She picked the perfect venue, with the perfect itinerary, the perfect food, the perfect vibe, and the perfect rewards. My two favorite moments were when we collectively gave back to the Balinese community through volunteering at an orphanage (those precious children!), and the Sunset Dance night. You hear people say to "dance like nobody's is watching", but to actually take those words literally and do just that -- so liberating! As for the actual resort, I already used the word, "perfect", and it was! My only complaint about my experience is that the time flew by -- a week is just not enough time to soak it all in. Suksma, Julie and Bali and The Floating Leaf Resort. I'm looking forward to more of Julie's retreats!

My trip to Santorini island with Julie, the Rogue Yogi, was nothing short of magical. The accommodation was really nice, we got to stay at these authentic Greek style "cave apartments". The weather in early October was still nice, not too hot, great for hikes and daily trips exploring the island. The scenery was breathtaking. I have never seen ocean this blue. I loved that Julie and her husband were with us the whole time. It was nice to have someone there who already knew the area and could point us to great restaurants, show us how to get to the beach, and recommend the best local convenience store. If you are a foodie you will not want to leave this place. The Greek Cuisine is absolutely to die for! What I appreciated the most was the daily program - there was not a day without something exciting happening! From a tour to Oia, to a bus trip to local ruins and archeological site, wine tasting trip, a cooking class at the local restaurant with chef Georgi, and the boat adventure and visit to a volcano and hot springs. I absolutely loved this trip and will definitely travel with Julie in the future again!
