The Rolwaling trek with Tshorolpa Glacier is located in the eastern part of Nepal which provides magnificent views of the mountains such as Mt. Melungtse, Mt. TashiLapcha, Mt. Everest, gaurishankar, pharcharmo, Ramdung, Langtang, JugalHimal, and Mt. DorjeLakpa. One can also get to see the varieties of flora and fauna, rivers, streams, and lakes. Experience the culture and heritage of the local people and the local food in the totally remote Himalayan environment. The indigenous Sherpa says the meaning of the "Rolwaling" valley is "the grave" because the valley is located in between the foot of two vertical peaks covered by snow. This trek is very suitable for the people who want to spend some time in a remote place by involving in trekking without the disturbance of other people.

Tsho Rolpa and Rolwaling trek lies between Everest and Langtang areas. The route is nearby the Tibet border side where most of the people are Buddhist. The route is more interesting with the Tamakoshi river on the way. A few miles south to the Tibetan border, you can experience the hidden valley that's believed to be the place of legendary tales of a snowman – Yeti. You will enjoy the beauty of Tsho-Rolpa (the largest glacier lake in Nepal). Also, you will have a visit to a nunnery called Bigu Gompa. In this region, several festivals take place. The other attractions include – Ice Lake, scenic farmlands, mountain peaks, Sherpa people & their culture, historic towns and so on.

The trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Barabise, from Barabise the trekking starts and guides you through Kabre, Dolongsa, Bigu Gompa, Chilangka, Shalu, Simigaon,the Forest camp, Beding, Na, Chetchet, Chetre, Dolakha and Charikot, from where you will drive back to Kathmandu.

ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU, NEPAL
Welcome to Kathmandu Nepal. Asian Heritage Treks & Travel representative welcomes you at the Airport with your name plate.

After Arrival at Nepal airport, we will transfer you to the Hotel. On the way Airport to Hotel, you will pass by the Pashupatinath Temple, Royal Palace Museum i.e. Narayanhiti, Garden of Dreams and reach Thamel.

Your hotel will be in downtown of Touristic Hub. Our representative will facilitate you and discuss your travel itinerary. There will be enough time to stroll through the street of Thamel.

KATHMANDU TO BARABISE (819 M), DRIVING DURATION: 4 TO 5 HOURS
After breakfast in the hotel, you will start the day with a pleasant drive along the Arniko Highway to Barabise. You can have beautiful views of green hills with rivers and streams at some places during the drive. Barabise is a quite developed village, compared to other villages in the surrounding area, as it is touched by the Araniko Highway. Upon arrival in Barabise, check-in to the lodge, have some rest and later on explore the area.

BARABISE TO KABRE (1605 M), HIKING DURATION: 6 HOURS
Today, you will start walking after having your breakfast in Barabise. You will walk over a steep path behind the town of Barabise going through rice and mustard fields. As you complete the steep trail, you will reach a ridge from where you can see beautiful views of the surrounding areas along with the Sun Koshi river.

KABRE TO DOLONGSA (1945 M), HIKING DURATION: 7 HOURS
After having breakfast, we will start today's trek to Dolongsa. You will start walking through small settlements and Rhododendron forests. During the trek, you can see many birds enjoying their environment.

DOLONGSA TO BIGU GOMPA (2310 M), HIKING DURATION: 7 HOURS
Today, you have to walk over a very steep trail to climb the pass (3320 m) which reflects breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Everest. You will have some time to explore the Pass area and let the views sink in before you will descend through magnificent forest to the lone monastery of BiguGompa.

BIGU GOMPA TO CHILANGKA (1923 M), HIKING DURATION: 8 HOURS
After having your breakfast in BiguGompa, we commence a trail that descends until you reach SamlingKhola. After SamlingKhola, you will start to ascend to reach Chilangka.

CHILANGKA TO KULONG (1890 M), HIKING DURATION: 7 HOURS
Today, you will have a gentle walk along the hillside for most of the day with some ascends and descends. On some parts of the trail, you can spectate the excellent views of Gauri Shanker Himal (7145 m). The trail finally takes you to Kulong, where we will spend the night.

KULONG TO SHALU (1500 M), HIKING DURATION: 6 HOURS
After having your breakfast in Kulong, you will start today with an easy trek mostly going downhill to the village of Jagat. The trail will take you along the BhoteKoshi River. In Jagat, you can have some rest, observe the impressive views and learn about the surroundings of your guide. From Jagat, it is an easy walk upstream to Shalu.

SHALU TO SIMIGAON (2000 M), HIKING DURATION: 7 HOURS
In the beginning, the trek starts with an easy walk along the river until we cross the BhoteKoshi. From here, we continue our climb through a forest before entering the more open BhoteKoshi to Simigoan, where the trail is more steep and difficult. As you reach Simigaon, you will check in to the Lodge and have some rest.
