Day 13: Trek from Ghap to Lho ,3200m (6-7 Hours)

Day 15: Acclimatization and exploration day.

A day’s break here is necessary to beat our fatigue and also to get our body used to the high altitude. But staying idle does not help in acclimatization, so the best way to keep ourselves fit for the days ahead is to walk around the area during daytime and take in the marvels of the Himalayas. Night in the tea house.

Day 16: Trek from Samagon to Samdo, 3875m (4 Hours)

This is an easy and short walking day for us. Trek to Samdo takes about 4 hours through the bank of Budhi Gandaki river. Lunch at lodge, overnight at local lodge in Samdo.

Day 17: Trek from Samdo to Dharmasala (4460m); 4 hrs

More and more amazing spectacles unfold around us today. We are still following the Budhi Gandaki river, which changes now into a rather small stream. We leave the last settlement of the trail today at Samdo to reach Dharmasala. But before that, we pass through a stream coming from Gya La, a pass leading into the Tibet, and also the ruins of Larkya Bazaar. This bazaar probably was a prosperous trading point with Tibet a few centuries ago. But after the opening of roads to link Nepal and Tibet, this place seems to have been abandoned. Night in the tea house.

Day 18: Trek from Dharmasala to Bimtang(3590m) via Larkya La pass (5215m); 7-8 hrs

Certainly one of the most adventurous days in the entire trek. After successfully climbing the pass, however you will hold your breath while soaking up the views of Himlung Mountain, Cheo Mountain, Kang Kuru, Annapurna II and many others. The descent on the other side is steep through glacial debris to Bhimphedi. Night in the tea house.

Day 19: Trek from Bhimphedi to Tilje (2300m) 6-7 hrs.

As we start to come down to lower elevations, we again see farmlands and forests. This is the case today, as we pass alpine forests of rhododendron and fig trees to reach Tilje. Night in the tea house.

Day 20: Tilje to Dharapani (1963 m) trek (2 hours),

We walk down the trail alongside the Marsyangdi River. After days of walking in uninhabited high alpines, the villages we encounter during the day give complete new experiences. Have a short break at Dharapani, Night at a lodge in.

All those guys were really fantastic. Both the agency (Badri + others) itself and the guide Rupak who was able to create amazing atmosphere and was so helpful with all the necessary details during the whole trek. I'd like to recomend all if the to whom, who are planning such trips in the future. Safe, fast and good planned, even for a man who is not so convinced about his/her own abilities.

I had an unbelievable experience, which is consistent with every trip (5-6 others) I have taken with Outdoor Himalayan Treks! Their staff is professional, knowledgeable, and highly experienced. Badri was wonderful to work with through the planning process. As usual, he developed an itinerary that was customized for my interests and ability level. My trekking guide, Dilli, was truly amazing, as well! He really understands why I come to Nepal so often--I love the people, the culture, the mountains, everything. As a solo female trekker, I always felt safe. As a bonus, the views were incredible, even though it was the height of the Monsoon season. I highly recommend Outdoor Himalayan Treks for your trekking experience!

My wife and I have recently completed our Langtang Valley Trekking from late May to early June 2023, arranged by Outdoor Himalayan Treks. This is our second time trekking in Nepal and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This time, it was an entirely different experience - for us, Langtang Valley trekking was indeed " Nature at its very Best " The panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges, clean crisp mountain air against a background of the call of nature (chirping of birds, continuous gush of the river/streams, cries of the deer in the night). Walking along lush bamboo forests dotted with pretty flowers, encounters with families of yak, monkeys, mules ..an amazing sight. The sheer absence of technology / internet up in the mountains was quite a different feeling! The trekking in Langtang was raw, rugged...oneness with nature. For the first two days we were going uphill with average vertical gains of 1000m each day and hitting 3300m on day 3. Steep ascents very often on narrow paths, laden with rocks, stones, and crossing streams required deft and steady footwork. What goes up must come down..steep descents were a toll on our knees. The air gets thinner as we climb higher, thank goodness we had paced ourselves throughout the trek and we were blessed with excellent weather. My wife continued and reached the peak of Kyanjin 1 at 4400m, where she enjoyed the great sense of accomplishment and the glorious breathtaking views! The funny thing was, sharing with her moment of joy at the peak appeared angels ...two friendly dogs ! The beauty of nature is also present in the professional and experienced handling of both our guide and porter. Our guide, Subba is very experienced and was most attentive to our needs. Together with our young and strong porter, Madhov, they were a wonderful pair. In moments, when I thought I was going to slip down the terrain, a quick hand would be there to support me. Will always remember the wise words of our guide.."Take baby steps and follow the mule". The warm hospitality of our hosts at the guesthouses provided us with a glimpse of the local Tibetan culture. The simplicity and beauty of nature !
