The training shall cover Ropework techniques for Mountain Leaders. This includes the use of a 30m confidence rope to problem solve on steep ground; for instance,
Managing steep ground hazards
Monitoring participants and spotting techniques
Scrambling techniques
Selecting Anchors
Tieing onto anchors and constructing a belay
Belaying techniques: lowering down and bring up a participant over a rocky step / steep slope;
Direct belay techniques;
Simple abseiling techniques.
Confidence roping;
The venue for the training is Ben Vorlich, by Loch Lomond. Meet up at Inveruglas car park at 10am. After that, we shall walk to the southern slopes of Ben Vorlich to practice ropework skills. Finish at 4pm.

Please bring with you the following:
30l rucksack
Waterproof trousers and jacket
Warm layers
Hat and gloves
Walking boots
Pack lunch and drink (a flask with a hot drink is a good idea)
