This is an 8 Day Guided Walk on the Rota Vicentina "Fisherman's Trail". Starting from Porto Covo and finishing at  Aljezur . 

Its a mix of wonderful Coastal walks on Portugal's east coast and some inland trails. We have broken down the walks to suit most abilities and to take in some really scenic locations.

The Rota Vicentina sits on the south west of Portugal just below Lisbon. The trail starts in the Portuguese region of Alentejo.

It is a long distance walk with choice along the coast line called the Fishermen’s Trail or slightly in land called the Historical Way.

About The Trails:

Both trails are broken up into suitable walking stages. This part of  Portugal is beautiful with wonderful cliff walks and sandy beaches.  There are many small and colourful coastal towns where you can enjoy  some great seafood along the way.

The trails have been developed over the past few years by the local  communities and associations and it is a wonderful place to explore.

The accommodation is some of the best along the  trail using small local farmhouses offering great food. some  accommodations even some swimming pools and unique converted  accommodations to help you relax after your days walk.

The food in Portugal and in this area is excellent with very fresh local produce and of course a wide variety of fish dishes.
