About this trip

Run the iconic beauty of Yosemite National Park and absorb the beauty of the valley from new heights.  Together, we'll explore some of the less traveled trails while always pausing for a photo op of each newly unveiled waterfall and vista.

The Run

The guided run on Saturday will cover approximately 13 miles and climb over 4,000 feet.  Most of the run will be on trails.  Conditions and trail crowds may vary according to the weather and tourist numbers.  Some portions of the run will slow to a walk depending on the trail grade.  There will be plenty of opportunities to pause and enjoy the natural beauty, and catch your breath, hydrate, and re-fuel.

While there's no required fitness level, the ability to comfortably run 5 miles at a sustained 9 minute mile pace is recommended.  Training plans are available upon request.  I want you to enjoy your trip and be able to take in all of the views!

The Food

For the guided run on Saturday, it is recommended you bring a camelbak or comfortable running backpack with sufficient water and snacks to pull you through the run.  Additional recommendations will be sent once you've reserved your spot.

Additional Food:

Friday dinner - if you arrive before 7:30pm, a nourishing pre-run dinner will be provided.

Saturday breakfast - a simple breakfast will be provided at 7:30am prior to our departure at 9am.

Saturday lunch (during the run) - you're responsible for bringing your own food, energy drinks, etc. during the run.

Saturday dinner - healthy recovery meal complete with appetizers and celebratory drinks will be provided as we toast our accomplishment and relive the glory moments.

Sunday breakfast - coffee and tea only

*Please send a note that includes any dietary restrictions after reserving your spot, and our team will do the best to accommodate.

Mackenzie Loy
Mackenzie began running in jr. high, but focused on other activities, ranging from tae kwon do in high school to sailing in college. She returned back to running at the end of college, and hasn't stopped since. Her appreciation for running comes from the simple recognition of where your two feet can take you. Mackenzie focuses on training for both the physical and mental benefits. Thus far her two feet (and many pairs of running shoes) have taken her through Boston, around Paris, up to the top of Mt. Whitney, across many miles of Alpine trails, and all over Yosemite National Park.
