Alison Desir invites you and all of her running friends to an "only in Alaska" summer runcation.
We're headed to TWO wonderful places in Alaska on this trip! Hope, a pastoral, laid-back village of 200 year-round residents and Palmer, a small town with a big heart and deep roots in Alaska's agricultural history. Alison Desir is our host for this runcation and she's teeing up plenty of fun for you under the Midnight Sun.
Our Accommodations
Two nights at Bear Creek Lodge's rustic cabins OR Coldwater Lodge's rooms,
& three nights at Alaska Glacier Lodge's deluxe cabins.
Bear Creek Lodge features authentic log cabins on a picturesque pond and babbling creek. The cabins are cozy with wood burning stoves and decks to relax on. Called "dry cabins" and without running water, guests have access to a clean, comfortable, and modern bath house for freshening up before dinner (at its onsite Dirty Skillet eatery).
Coldwater Lodge is the next door neighbor to Bear Creek Lodge. The Coldwater rooms are more modern, each with its own ensuite bathroom. A quick walk (~ a minute) brings guests right over to Bear Creek Lodge, from their motel-like accommodations into the thick of things at our eating and gathering point.
Alaska Glacier Lodge cabins are newer and feature high-quality bedding, private bathrooms, mini-fridges, and a coffeemaker. We'll dine at the property's Raven’s Perch Restaurant and can also choose from a menu of optional fly-out tours by helicopter.

What’s not included
- AirfareAirfare (must book air travel into and out of Anchorage, AK, before our July 10th, 9:30am AST pick-up; location TBD). Guests are returned to ANC on 7/15 at 10am.
- Helicopter ToursExplore azure blue melt pools and bizarre ice formations, as well as watch for wildlife via the sky. Guests can choose from and reserve a number of different heli-tours directly.
