Join Maya Field Workshops for an immersive journey through the northern Yucatán exploring the ancient Maya road system known as the sacbeob, which once connected powerful cities across the region. With David Stuart leading the way, students will visit major archaeological sites including Chichén Itzá, Cobá, and Ek' Balam, explore cenotes, and engage with local professionals, experts, and communities. Along the way, the program connects archaeology, landscape, and living culture to reveal how these royal roads shaped the Maya world.
We bring curious travelers to the heart of the Maya world. Our week long adventures are led by Dr. David Stuart, an accomplished archeologist and epigrapher, who tells the story of the Maya kingdoms as told through his readings of their ancient writing.
