About Your Host:

About Liza Colpa

Born and raised in New York, Liza Colpa discovered yoga as a teenager, seeking refuge from a childhood marked by generational trauma, abuse, and deep family turmoil. Despite her early successes and ambitions, Liza struggled with PTSD, anxiety, insomnia, and an eating disorder. It was during this tumultuous time that her sister introduced her to yoga, which immediately felt like a homecoming—a space to think, feel, and begin the process of healing.

Over the past decade, Liza has transformed her personal healing journey into a mission to help others. She is a 500-hour E-RYT-certified yoga teacher with over 4,000 hours of teaching experience, including specialized training in Chair Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, and Yoga for Eating Disorders. Liza has taught in Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and led meditation at the prestigious Big Magic Retreat, where the main event featured Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat Pray Love.

Liza’s passion for creating community shines through her thriving online presence, where she has built a following of over 100,000 on Insight Timer and 10,000 on YouTube. Through her practice, she has also reconnected with meditation, divination, and ritual practices, embracing her “witch wounds” as a source of strength and transformation.

Her teaching is deeply rooted in creating safe, nurturing spaces for students of all backgrounds to explore their unique paths toward healing and transformation. With a mission to raise collective vibration, Liza invites her students to reconnect with themselves and discover their own magic through yoga, meditation, and self-discovery.
