You will be picked up at your hotel at 8:00 am and drive towards Awanacancha alpaca farm; here, visit the llamas, alpacas, guanacos, and vicuñas. This day is the most important day of your trip; wake up early, enjoy breakfast in your hotel, and take the first buses to Machu Picchu. When you reach the main entrance, you need to show the original passport and begin the 3-hour guided tour. First, start with a short hike to Sungate or Inca Bridge, then you’ll follow your expert guide to the most important places in Machu Picchu; visiting the stone temple, palaces, altars, and learn the history of the Incas. At the end of the guided tour, take some time to discover Machu Picchu on your own, or you can take the optional hikes to Huayna Picchu Mounatin or Machu Picchu Mountain (Different form Machu Picchu Citadel, not included).

Keep in mind the Cusco is located in the mountains, and Machu Picchu is located in the cloud forest, and the weather can be very changeable. You’ll be staying one night in a hotel in Aguas Calientes. Remember, there is a backpack size restriction in Machu Picchu; we recommend always having a small daypack with you for the tours. The rest stays in the car or the hotel.
