At 07:30 in the morning we will depart from Cusco to the Sacred Valley.
In the first part of the tour we will visit the terraces, temples and sacred precincts of the archaeological complex of Pisac. In addition, from one of its many natural viewpoints, we will observe the impressive natural landscapes of the Sacred Valley.
Then, we will go down to the Pisac handicraft market to appreciate the most varied traditional handicrafts that radiate magic and color. And in case we want to take some souvenirs as souvenirs, we can also make some purchases here.
At noon, through the banks of the Vilcanota River, we will continue our journey to the TRADITIONAL RESTAURANT, in Urubamba. Here we will enjoy a delicious novo-Andean buffet lunch of exquisite Cusquenian cuisine. After lunch, we will go to the military fortress of Ollantaytambo to explore its most important stone buildings: the great stone terraces, the Temple of the Sun, and the fountain of the Princess' Baths. Also, here we will have the opportunity to remember the legendary Inca soldier Ollantay, the main character of the drama Ollantay, who not only fell in love and married the daughter of the Inca Pachacutec but also built this mythical Inca fortress that bears his name. After our guided tour in Ollantaytambo, we will return to the city of Cusco.
But, before arriving to Cusco, on the way we will make the last stop in the Archaeological Complex of Chinchero to visit its magical Inca palace and its beautiful colonial temple. And to appreciate the best weavings of the high Inca textiles and to observe one of the best sunsets. Finally, with the sunset and with the images of an exciting day still in our minds, we will board our tourist bus and head towards the city of Cusco. Our arrival in Cusco will be around 18:30 pm.
