Since we have to wait an extra day because Kenya Airways canceled our flight I thought I’d review the trip. I’m doing on my cell so forgive me if the spelling is awkward Trio was a 10 out of 10 for several reasons 1st - we saw and took pictures of 53 different animals That far exceeded our expectations 2nd - We’ve been to 102 countries Kenya was the friendliest and warmest people group ever, bar none 3rd - George deserves a huge raise. We have never had such A knowledgeable , friendly, flexible and agreeable Tour host We feel like we left a friend Words Cannot express how wonderful he was We cannot believe how many animals he saw and Knew the names and details about each 4th - All of the lodging was incredible. Loved The rustic and settings. Good was fabulous And as above staffs were amazing and everyone Asked us “when are you coming back” 5th. - the last Serena lodge in Tsavo west was what You think of being in Africa. Every animal We saw on safari there came to drink at the Watering hole where we ate 6th - price was comparable or less than any safari We looked at and I believe this far exceeded What they offered 7th - Communication through Joseph made this A well planned trip with timely answers So thank you for all your hard work. Now I’d like to offer some observations that may or may not benefit your company I’m not sure who set the locations but we drove 5-7 hours every time we moved Not knowing the country I think it was a little broad but may have been my doing George indicated there is a place farther north than our first stop that had a few more animals We were shocked at the game park there in Nairobi and saw 18 animals there. Going north to our first two spots then farther north would make a great safari Maasia Mara hold a magic as the migration gets a lot of play but good night it’s huge. The only animal we found in our three days different was the Cheetah. Not sure it was worth the drive so I’d downplay that George is an invaluable asset and drives very well. The vehicle left a lot to be desired. The roads were so incredibly long and tough. We broke the welds and dropped the rear bumper guard off (he got it welded back on then the CB antenna on front broke off and he put in back. Broke its weld too. To get to our balloon ride we ride in one of the newer rectangular jeep types and it was much much smoother and faster. They passed us all the time on every road. I realize they are expensive but I would have paid more. We must have been bounced up off our seats 200 times I would not go again in yours but that’s an economic issue. Amboseli was a zero, ok .5. That drive in was horrendous as you know and we switched to Tsavo. The first night hotel is old and they don’t run power all the time on purpose but the views and feeding the leopard made it really unique. Thanks for fencing with us The Lake Navishia was not great for people on safari. Of course cool to see animals walking with you and Island experience surprisingly good. Wife touched an ostrich and stood 3’ from a baby giraffe but Hells Gate worthless. We may have seen 30 animals total and definitely not a safari We enjoyed Tsavo but it was a long long way from the Lake and probably going north instead of south better in long run But, I would be delighted if someone was considering your company to have them call me if they wondered. My wife , now says it was the best trip ever. Not quite that high while driving and bouncing Can’t say enough about George. We’ve had a lot of your guys and none in his league. Very very glad we chose you. 53 animals is proof in my mind as to the quality of your team. George has the pics. Have a great rest of year And yea we love safariering in the dry season. Easy to see through missing leaves and they all go to water which gives us the advantage Best regards Ken wheatley

I can't recommend Maji Moto highly enough. I went with my 2 sons (young adults), delayed from originally planned trip in 2020. We really felt welcomed by the excellent hosts, and that we could take part in the life of the camp. We were guided through learning about the ongoing cultural life of the Maasai people, and encouraged to pick activities to match our interests - the boys helped in the kitchen, and I helped some ladies build a stick house! We went on a bush trek/camp, and visited the school, also helping at a regular tutor session for some young people. We did some simple bead making, and practiced our spear throwing and archery. The hosts are also able to arrange a game drive to Maasai Mara Reserve - we had a fabulous day with a very experienced guide and saw lots of animals - cheetah, lion, warthog, hyena, ostrich, elephant, crocodile, hippo, giraffe, many antelopes. Lovely to finish each day around the fire, looking at the stars, listening to traditional songs and sharing one or two of our own. I feel like we met some special people and built some strong connections at Maji Moto, and we all plan to come back. It is well organised, but also flexible according to interests and needs. Food, accommodation and facilites all great. Maji Moto is also a resource for local people, and is developing or maintaining a number of initiatives to support the community, such as the school, a new livestock market, and a settlement/work for vulnerable women with families. I have already recommended it to several friends.

I cannot recommend this place more! It is a true gem; a welcoming community working to share their culture and lands while uplifting themselves. Some proceeds go to the development of a Maasai school which they also lead. Plan for several days at least!

Experiencing Maji Moto in Kenya was an absolute highlight of my travels. From the moment I stepped off the bus, I was greeted with a warm and lovely welcome. Upon arriving at the camp, I instantly felt at home. If possible, I recommend staying for at least two nights to truly immerse yourself in the experience and slow down your travel pace. Plus, you absolutely cannot miss out on the bush camp experience!

We had a great time. The crew was wonderful. The food was delicious. Especially enjoyed going over the equator.
