Saigon Immersion

March 17 - 24, 2027
Saigon Immersion image

You'll land in Saigon a visitor and leave with the city somewhere in your body.

Most trips move fast enough that you never actually catch up to yourself. This one doesn't. Over eight days in Ho Chi Minh City, you'll gather around tables that hold history, sit inside rituals that refuse to be rushed, and work with a tailor who studies you before cutting a single thread. Every meal, every ceremony, every quiet hour is built to slow your body down and bring you back to yourself.

This is an invitation to be fed well, cared for, and to leave with something far beyond what fits in your suitcase.

Travel Tips

Travel Tips image

Travel Tips

  1. Vietnam requires your passport to remain valid for at least 6 months past your arrival date. Since we land March 17, 2027, your passport must be valid through September 17, 2027, with at least 2 blank visa pages. Airlines will deny boarding if this isn't met, so please check this early, renewal can take several weeks.

  2. Vietnam is warm and humid year-round, pack light, breathable fabrics and a light layer for air-conditioned spaces.

  3. Modest dress is appreciated when visiting temples or religious sites.

  4. Cash is preferred at smaller markets and street vendors, keep small denominations of Vietnamese Dong on hand, as USD often isn't accepted or comes with a poor exchange rate.

  5. Tipping isn't required but is appreciated for exceptional service.

  6. A few words of Vietnamese go a long way with locals: "Xin chào" (hello) and "Cảm ơn" (thank you) are easy ones to start with.

  7. Vietnam runs on 220V, 50Hz. Outlets typically accept U.S.-style flat-pin plugs, but bring a universal adapter to be safe.

  8. Vietnam is on Indochina Time (ICT, UTC+7), 11 hours ahead of U.S. Eastern Time during your travel dates (EDT).

  9. Traffic moves differently here, when crossing the street, walk at a slow, steady pace and let motorbikes flow around you.

  10. Cabin air is very low in humidity, which dehydrates you faster than you'd expect. Start hydrating before your flight, it'll help you feel better on arrival.

  11. Bring an unlocked phone or grab a local SIM/eSIM at the airport for data on the go. Prefer to skip the SIM? Download WhatsApp before you go, it works over WiFi for messaging and calls.
