Join us for our annual Halloween-Themed Camp.  Every October, Grappling Getaways does what it does best! We combine our favorite passion, Jiu-Jitsu, with our favorite season, fall, resulting in a magical retreat where we go above and beyond to enjoy the gift that is, Halloween.  

This year we will be hosting a Hocus Pocus-Themed Camp. Campers will put together their best Hocus Pocus costumes and makeup for a weekend of Haunted Happenings!

 Our Itinerary Boasts: 

- Jiu-Jitsu Training and Teaching from various female Brown/Black Belts

- Exploration of Salem, MA (Shopping, site seeing, museum)

- Ghost Walking Tour and Walking Tour of the sites filmed in Hocus Pocus

- Personalized Halloween Photoshoot (Colored smoke included) 

- Halloween Party & Games 

- Leaf-Peeping & Hiking

- Local haunted house or haunted attraction. 

Our campers will stay in a luxurious airbnb, yes all under the same roof! We feel magically teleported back to our childhood for what is certain to be the BEST sleepover you have ever attended! Mats are typically set up on premise, or closely nearby.  This gives our campers access to training, stretching or rolling whenever their hearts desire, outside of our scheduled training times. 

All campers will share a room, and some instances a bed.  Please be sure to list a friend you would like to be roomed or bunked with when registering.  

Please know, a majority of the time you have your own bed, but read below to ensure this in the event this is a necessity for you.

For those traveling in from out of state, or country, please reach out to April Parks to assist with all travel detail. She will assist with finding flights as well as transportation to and from airport, camp, etc.  

Every camp we have campers from all over.  Our goal is to make this as simplistic of a process and possible. 

Campers will arrive between 3 - 5 P.M.  All campers will be led to their rooms to unpack.  Coffee and refreshments will be served pre-training.  Training session 1 followed by dinner and an evening outing, weather dependent, this outing will be a Halloween Haunted Hayride or House. Don't forget your Halloween-Themed Pajamas for the evening Pajama Party Contest!

Campers will depart for Salem to explore, shop and partake in local ghost haunting tours as well as the filming locations of Hocus Pocus. All of course in between training Jiu Jitsu. An evening Halloween Party will commence the day. 

Morning training and breakfast, then to prepare for the photoshoots.  Wear your Hocus Pocus Witch Costumes or whatever your heart desires. Event is followed by some local exploration and hiking along with a team lunch. The evening time will be an outdoor movie night lavishly decorated for Halloween. The Halloween Olympics will be reserved for this evening. More info to come. 

Today is the last day and training session.  Q&A with all instructors and a sad teary goodbye.  But no worries! We will see you again next Halloween! Muhahahhahaha
