Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Qoyllor & Inkachiriasqa Lakes – Salkantaypampa Basecamp
Early pick-up from your hotel and scenic drive to Limatambo for breakfast. Start hiking toward the stunning Qoyllor and Inkachiriasqa Lagoons, enjoying panoramic mountain views. Continue to Salkantaypampa Basecamp, located at the foot of the majestic Salkantay Glacier. Lunch, afternoon tea, and gourmet dinner at camp.
Day 2: Salkantaypampa – Salkantay Pass – Chaullay
Early wake-up with coca tea and breakfast. Trek to the Salkantay Pass (4,600 m / 15,091 ft), the highest point of the route, followed by a scenic descent into the high jungle to Chaullay campsite. Lunch along the way and dinner at camp.
Day 3: Chaullay – Lucmabamba
Hike through lush cloud forest, waterfalls, and rivers. Optional activities include zip-lining and hot springs (not included). Visit a local coffee plantation and learn about traditional coffee production. Overnight camping in Lucmabamba.
Day 4: Lucmabamba – Llactapata – Hydroelectric – Aguas Calientes
Hike to the archaeological site of Llactapata, where you’ll enjoy your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu. Descend to Hydroelectric for lunch and continue to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
Day 5: Machu Picchu – Cusco
Early morning visit to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the citadel. Enjoy free time to explore before returning by train and private transport to Cusco.
