This trek will take you beyond what you ever thought could be a part of your Inca Trail experience. The incredibly varied landscapes include icy glaciers, lush tropical forests and the remnants of the Inca culture, which will give you an insight on the ancient mountainside lifestyle.
The Apu Salkantay (Apu = mountain god) mountain is a sacred mountain of the Vilcabamba mountain range, which is located south of the Citadel of Machu Picchu and it is the tallest peak with 6,264 meters (20,551 ft) above sea level.
