Welcome session and overview lecture. Explore the Higashi Honganji, the largest wooden temple in Kyoto and our classroom for the week.

Morning session on the time period of the Samurai. Afternoon visit to the Kyoto Manga Museum.

Visit to the famous Fushimi temple site and town. Located on the historical road between Kyoto and Osaka, this is where the reformist samurai fought for the restoration of Imperial rule.

This is the only theme park in Japan where you can experience the filming locations of movies and TV dramas. In addition to experiencing the atmosphere of the Edo period, you can also enjoy a variety of performance events and theme park attractions.

Nara Park is one of the must-see areas in Nara City. The vast area covers 660 hectares and is renowned for its free-roaming deer and world famous temples.

We'll spend the morning touring Osaka and finish the day at Universal Studios Japan.

Morning session on costumes and ninja apparel. In the afternoon we will rent traditional Kimonos and have a guided street tour of Old Gion.

In the morning we will explore the tradition of Shiga pottery and the famous Japanese Tanuki. Later in the afternoon we will visit a ninja village and learn the way of the ninja.

Transfer to Osaka Hotel.

In the morning we will visit Osaka Castle. In the afternoon we will learn about swordmanship and the tools of the Samurai.

We will visit the famous sword-smiths of Sakai. A tradition dating back 600 years. You will have the opportunity to meet masters of the trade and buy their wares. In the afternoon we will partake in a traditional tea ceremony.

Transfer to Airport Hotel.

Final packing and departure. We will do last minute shopping at the outlet mall near the airport.
