We head to the WestCoast for a few days to San Francisco and Napa Valley, which combines two of our favorite things, great food (San Fran) and great wines (Napa Valley). At the timing of this trip we are in for a trifecta - harvest season in Napa, fall foliage and great weather in both locations. During harvest season, visitors can enjoy fun seasonal activities such as harvest dinners, balls and grape smashing.
Our activities will include a group private wine tasting tour in Napa Valley where we will visit 4 - 5 wineries, have lunch and enjoy the locale. Additionally we can snaps pics at the Golden Gate Bridge, pass the infamous Alcatraz, and on our day trip, marvel at the amazing Sequoias in the Muir Woods and enjoy some shopping Sausalito. Of course we will also have time to explore areas such as Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf and of course, take in a city tour that stops the world famous Victorian houses and the like.
Here's to letting today set the tone for the upcoming few days.
Once you are settled into your room, the day is yours to hang out and do as you wish. There is nothing planned that is mandatory for you to attend but here are a few suggestions.
(1) The Museum of the African Diaspora is 5 mins from the hotel and worth visiting, if you are so interested.
(2) Lunch reservations have been made at Palm House, approx. 20mins from the hotel. Palm House boats great food and views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
(3) Explore downtown and go on a cable car ride.
