About this trip
Students will reinforce what they have learned in 8th Grade US History while they travel for 6 days and 5 nights to Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and Hershey Park. It's a trip of a lifetime as they experience Arlington Cemetery, the Lincoln Memorial, Independence Hall, Gettysburg Military Park and so much more.
We celebrate the trip by having a blast at the award winning Hershey Park.

Itinerary
Day 1
Day of travel ending with an evening memorial tour.
Thursday, June 8
- 4:30 Meet at the football field parking lot
- Check in - Students only in the building, parents wait outside
- Meet your chaperones and load buses
- 5:00 Depart for Washington, DC
- 7:30 Oasis on the Ohio Turnpike (Students are encouraged to either pack a breakfast or purchase food at the oasis.)
- 1:00 Lunch at Golden Corral 900 Park Manor Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA 15205
- 6:00 Dinner at Pentagon Fashion City Mall
- 7:00 Memorial Tour: Jefferson, FDR, MLK Jr., and a picture stop at the White House
- 9:00 Depart for the Hotel: Holiday Inn, 10000 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD 20740

Our trip had an airline cancellation to start, but Glenn was able to work and still make the trip happen. We had a great trip with hotels in the city, allowing access to lots of sites. The tour guides were good, and we saw a ton of both cities.

The trip was so much fun. We got to see so many great sights and had good food. Our group leader was the best ever like usual. We had a couple flight issues that he dealt with like a pro. I would absolutely recommend this trip to everyone.

We had a great time! It was so nice not having to worry about getting to see everything, where to stay, where to eat, and finding parking. We just followed our group and enjoyed. Glenn did a great job, and we will be back with our other child in a couple years! Great stops, great stays, great food, and great people! Thank you!

Recently we traveled with Glen on a whirlwind tour of various historical sites out east. It was all fabulously organized with all the details covered. I felt 100% comfortable with our bus driver. How stress free to not have to drive in some of these highly congested cities. Everything we wanted was included. So, one warning to the wise, plan at least one night midweek to arrive back to the hotel early. You'll be glad for the extra rest

Glen did an amazing job directing our group while we traveled. He has an upbeat atritude and listened to any concerns that we had. The trip itself was so interesting... my 8, 15, and 17 year old kids never had a complaint. If we travel again, we will be giving Glen a call!
