About Sarga

This is a revolutionary modality that will absolutely change your career. Sarga Bodywork® is a barefoot massage modality that employs a fabric strap attached to the table allowing you to apply powerful myofascial techniques with your feet. This method is a one of a kind system that is rewarding for both client and practitioner. Sarga is an incredibly rewarding barefoot massage modality performed on raised massage tables. Although challenging at first, once you've mastered it you will be able to deliver massage seamlessly and enjoy a long career without the aches and pains of traditional methods. This course will challenge your strength, balance, and focus but the end of it you will be able to apply a powerful new method for your clients.

By the end of this course, you'll walk away with an incredible new way to help people and the potential to completely transform your practice.

What you’ll get:

  •  4 days of immersive, hands-on training (with plenty of practice both giving and receiving)

  •  35 CEUs upon completion of both in-person + included online curriculum (NCBTMB #1431)

  •  A powerful 90-minute full-body routine you can bring to your clients immediately

  •  Guided setup for both floor and raised-table equipment

  •  Lifetime access to online materials, support, and community

Prerequisites

To keep the class safe and successful for everyone, students must:

  •  Have at least 1 year of hands-on manual therapy experience

  •  Be licensed in massage (or meet your state/country's legal requirements to practice)

  •  Carry active liability/malpractice insurance

  •  Be willing to work on a raised massage table using a fabric strap for support

  •  Recall basic musculoskeletal anatomy

  •  Meet the fitness & physical requirements listed below

Physical Requirements

At Sarga Bodywork, we understand that weight alone does not determine capability. Several successful Sarga practitioners, including myself, fall slightly outside of the ranges listed here, however, keep in mind:

Sarga straps allow practitioners to generate additional force beyond bodyweight, all while maintaining balance on one leg. Therefore safety of all students as well as the working limits of the massage tables must be considered. If you fall outside of the biometrics listed below it’s required you disclose this with us.

Being outside of these guidelines does not automatically disqualify you from taking a course; we simply want to make sure the training environment is safe for everyone. If needed, we may be able to make adjustments prior to class or discuss alternative options so please do not hesitate to discuss.

Let us know if you fall outside of these ranges:

Raised table courses:

  •  Weight: between 100–175 lbs

  •  Height: under 6'

  •  Note: You’ll be walking along the outer perimeter of the table. If you have a strong fear of heights, consider starting with a floor-based class.

Floor-based courses (massage mats or tables at floor level):

  •  Weight: between 100–225 lbs

  •  Height: under 6'

⚠️ Honesty is important here. If you’re outside of these ranges, please reach out to me. We’ll happily explore your options. Failing to disclose biometrics outside these ranges may result in adjustments to techniques or equipment during class that may delay the class, and in rare cases, dismissal if safety is compromised.

STRENGTH REQUIREMENTS

- Balance on one leg (unassisted) with one knee raised for at least 60 seconds

- Hold a plank for 1 minute

- Complete 3 sets of 20 squats

- Perform light cardio (e.g., jogging, swimming) for 10–15 minutes without stopping

This work demands strong isometric control. Expect a learning curve at first, but also the reward of moving with confidence as you progress.

TRAVEL & MINIMUM ENROLLMENT

  • Do not book non-refundable travel until your course is confirmed.  We highly recommend purchasing flexible airline tickets or travel insurance if you are traveling from out of town.

  • A course is confirmed when minimum enrollment is met. The minimum enrollment for this course is 8 students. This means we must have 8 enrolled no later than 25 days from the course date for this course to take place.

👉 Want to help make sure your course gets confirmed? If you know a massage colleague who would love to learn this work, invite them to join. Training is even better when shared with a friend, and together you’ll both walk away with skills that can transform your practice.

  • We’ll notify all students once the course is confirmed.

  • If enrollment is not met (rare), you may:

    •  Transfer to another course at no cost, or

    •  Receive a full refund of tuition.

  •  Please arrive at least 1 day prior and leave at least 1 day after the last day of class.

⚠️ Note: Sarga Bodywork is not responsible for travel, lodging, or transportation costs due to postponement/cancellation.

Bottom line: You’re about to invest in a powerful modality that can completely transform your practice. Our policies are there to help keep classes safe, but don’t let them scare you. These classes are incredibly fun and you'll walk away with powerful tools and hopefully make some friends along the way.

LOCATION & LODGING

Location will be at a spacious, private residence. TBA

Room options are first come, first serve. This is offered for convenience and for a focused, immersive experience. Though it does not guarantee additional Instructor Q & A time, it may be a great way to connect with fellow students, create community, and not be distracted by your daily life.

Personally, I have found this style of hosting format can add to a valuable and memorable experience.

*Though rooms will be prioritized in order of enrollment, group dynamics may require there to be changes in rooms. Minimum two students must elect to stay at the residence for me to allow lodging. No pets.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

I run a thriving solo massage practice built on the same techniques you’ll be learning in this course. My goal is to help you develop real confidence in barefoot modalities that directly translate into a practice that’s more effective for your clients and sustainable for your body.

With over a decade long background in strength training, I bring a practical, results-driven approach to teaching. You’ll not only learn a powerful barefoot sequence, but also how to work in a way that protects your body, sets you apart in your market, and gives you the option to practice completely mobile if you choose.

By the end of the course, you’ll have a skillset that not only elevates the results your clients feel, but also strengthens your positioning as a specialist who offers something truly unique in your market.

I look forward to teaching you SARGA BODYWORK!

Chuck Hong
