SARGA BODYWORK® is a barefoot massage method that employs the use of a fabric strap fastened to a massage table to deliver therapeutic myofascial and deep tissue techniques. This length of fabric is used by practitioners for stability and to add tensional and gravitational force to specific manual therapy methods. These methods, applied with the broad contact surfaces of the feet facilitate less restriction and more ease and relaxation in recipients’ bodies.

Please review the following information before registering for this course:
Student weight and fitness as it relates to classroom safety and the capacities treatment equipment used in the classroom:
Sarga Bodywork understands that weight alone does not determine fitness, balance, or capability. However, for safety reasons, we ask that you inform us if you are outside of the biometrics listed below. We will inquire further to ensure that the techniques taught in our courses can be performed safely and within the working limits of our equipment. This is highly important since the Sarga Silk allows practitioners to generate additional force beyond bodyweight. Please note that being outside of these biometrics does not necessarily exclude you from our course offerings! If you would like to discuss these options, please contact me at 860-961-4668.
Registering for a course on raised massage tables: Students verify they are not less than 100lbs in weight, not more than 175lbs in weight, and not more than 6' in height. Students must understand the importance of their honesty as it relates to safety and liability in this regard. Failure to disclose this information may result in needing to make equipment and/ or technique modifications during class, and may even result in dismissal without a refund if classroom safety is compromised.
Students outside the biometrics listed above: Please contact us to discuss other options for learning Sarga Bodywork.
Fitness requirements to successfully learn & perform Sarga Bodywork:
- The ability to balance on one foot for at least 1 minute without holding onto anything for support. Ankle and knee stabilizing exercises are highly recommended in preparation for this course, especially if you've had previous injuries and/or surgeries to these joints.

While visiting Morocco, students will find that Arabic, French and Spanish are the primary languages spoken throughout Marrakech. English is spoken in many tourist areas, restaurants, and shops, but is not universally guaranteed. Participants are encouraged to travel with flexibility, patience, and an open mind as part of the cultural experience.
Students are strongly encouraged to download translation apps prior to travel. Helpful recommended apps include:
• Google Translate — Highly recommended for restaurant menus, transportation, signage, and camera translation features. Students should download French and Arabic offline language packs before departure.
• GoDarija Translator — Particularly helpful for understanding conversational Moroccan Darija and local slang commonly spoken throughout Marrakech.
• Apple Translate — A great option for iPhone users, especially for offline communication and quick voice translations.
Students are also encouraged to download WhatsApp prior to travel, as it is widely used throughout Morocco for communication, messaging, and calls.
The condo includes WiFi access. For students interested in obtaining a local SIM card for additional cellular service during the trip, assistance can be provided closer to travel dates. Please note that phones must be unlocked through your carrier in order to use an international SIM card.
Students traveling to Morocco should ensure their passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond their travel dates. U.S. travelers do not currently require a visa for short tourist stays in Morocco; however, all travelers are responsible for verifying entry requirements based on their individual country of citizenship prior to departure.
Upon arrival at Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK), travelers should be prepared to complete immigration and customs screening procedures.
Arrival processes may include:

Breakfast will be available each day.
Lunch will be served during class days.
The condo is located in the Gueliz district of Marrakech, a vibrant and modern neighborhood known for its cafés, restaurants, shopping, and walkable atmosphere.
Students will have convenient access to a wide range of dining options, from traditional Moroccan cuisine to modern cafés, rooftop lounges, juice bars, and international restaurants.
Gueliz offers a more relaxed and contemporary feel while still being within easy reach of the historic Medina, souks, and Jemaa el-Fna area for students wanting to explore the cultural heart of Marrakech during downtime. Depending on traffic and transportation method, the Medina is typically a short taxi ride away and accessible for evening outings, shopping, sightseeing, and dining experiences.
This location was intentionally selected to provide a balance between comfort, convenience, local culture, and accessibility throughout the training experience.
The local currency in Morocco is the Moroccan Dirham (MAD).
While some restaurants, hotels, and larger businesses may accept credit cards, cash is still widely used throughout Marrakech, especially in markets, taxis, smaller shops, and local cafés.
Students are encouraged to notify their bank and credit card companies of international travel prior to departure and to plan for a combination of card and cash use during the trip.
Helpful recommendations:
• Students may find it helpful to convert approximately $200–300 USD into Moroccan Dirham for general spending throughout the trip. This is typically more than enough for taxis, meals, coffee, shopping, tips, and incidental expenses during the training week.
• Exchange a small amount of currency before arrival or withdraw Dirham from a reputable ATM after landing.
• Carry small denominations whenever possible, as many vendors, taxi drivers, and smaller businesses may not have change for large bills.
• Keep cash separated into multiple locations while traveling for convenience and safety.
• Avoid carrying excessive amounts of cash during Medina and market visits.
Morocco is generally very affordable for food, taxis, coffee, and shopping compared to many U.S. cities, but students should still budget for personal spending, excursions, tips, and meals outside of training activities.
