SARGA 101 ONLINE COURSE MANUAL ACCESS:

Before class, you’ll be invited to join a private WhatsApp group created specifically for your cohort. This is a great way to connect with your classmates ahead of time and coordinate optional logistics such as transportation, ride shares, room shares, or lunch plans.

During the training, we also use the group for class communication and to share photos and videos from our time together.

Participation in the WhatsApp group is encouraged for convenience and connection, but is completely optional.

While we’re happy to help with class-related questions, we’re unable to provide specific travel planning or recommendations regarding flights, accommodations, routes, or travel times. Once you’ve done your travel research, Linda is happy to answer questions about the class location or schedule that may help with your planning.

Day 1

Foundations + Finding Your Feet
Day 1 image

Welcome to Sarga!

We’ll begin with introductions and an overview of Sarga Bodywork®, including the 10 Principles of Sarga, course terminology, equipment and station setup, wrapping the silks, foot terminology, pressure scaling, and foundational safety and body mechanics.

You’ll learn how to use the fabric for support while beginning to explore leverage, movement, pressure, and the unique tactile qualities of barefoot myofascial work.

Afternoon: We get our feet on the table! You’ll begin learning and practicing posterior leg and glute techniques.

We’ll finish the day with Q&A and time to reflect, take notes, and reinforce what you’ve learned.

Tuesday, April 20, 2027

Day 2

Building the Full-Body Toolkit
Day 2 image

We’ll jump right back into hands-on practice and continue building your Sarga vocabulary.

Morning: Posterior back and arm techniques
Afternoon: Anterior leg, chest, and arm techniques

Throughout the day, we’ll continue refining pressure, positioning, body mechanics, transitions, and your use of the fabric for support and control.

By the end of Day 2, you’ll have been introduced to the majority of the techniques that make up the full Sarga 101 routine.

We’ll close with Q&A and a group check-in.

Day 3

Putting It All Together
Day 3 image

Day 3 is about turning individual techniques into a cohesive treatment.

Morning: Posterior routine practice
Afternoon: Anterior routine practice

We’ll revisit what you’ve learned, refine techniques, troubleshoot challenges, and focus on transitions, pacing, pressure, and flow. This is where the pieces begin to come together and the work starts to feel more natural.

We’ll end with Q&A and our closing circle.

The Sarga Store opens! Students will have the opportunity to purchase select Sarga equipment at 10% off during the training.

Thursday, April 22, 2027

Day 4

Integration + 90-Minute Exchange
Day 4 image

Our final day begins with our class photo before adding seated posterior and anterior techniques to complete your Sarga 101 toolkit.

Morning: Posterior and anterior seated work, including neck, shoulder, head, and upper-body techniques
Afternoon: Full 90-minute Sarga Bodywork exchange

This is your opportunity to bring everything together—setup, technique, pressure, transitions, pacing, body mechanics, and flow—while both giving and experiencing a complete Sarga session.

Then we celebrate! 🎉

You’ll leave with a complete 90-minute Sarga Bodywork sequence, hands-on experience with the techniques, and a foundation you can continue practicing and refining long after class ends.

SARGA BODYWORK TRADEMARKS + INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY:

SARGA, SARGA BODYWORK, SARGATHAI, SARGASILKS, SARGA.RX, and MYO.RUB are trademarked names which are legally associated with the products, services, and methods provided by this business. Sarga Bodywork maintains trademark and intellectual property protections across multiple jurisdictions where our practitioners and instructors operate.

SARGA BODYWORK®

Practitioners may only use the trade name Sarga® and Sarga Bodywork® on marketing media once they have been certified as a Certified Sarga Bodywork Practitioner® in the proprietary methodology of Sarga Bodywork. Doing so without Sarga Bodywork certification is a legal infringement.

In addition, select Sarga Bodywork equipment is exclusively available to practitioners who have completed our introductory in-person course or who have enrolled in Sarga Bodywork Beginner (101) Online, which reviews the proper installation and use of this equipment.

SARGATHAI, SARGASILKS & SARGA.RX

Practitioners may only use the trade names above on marketing media once they have attended the corresponding in-person course or have completed the corresponding online course. Doing so without these prerequisites is a legal infringement.

PROPRIETARY EQUIPMENT

Other businesses and organizations may not use our proprietary equipment, or similar permutations, to teach massage technique. Our IP filings cover equipment for foot-based massage methods, consisting of a fabric strap or similar material attached to a client-supporting device and used by practitioners both for stability and to deliver therapeutic force to the client.

We actively protect our proprietary methods and equipment designs internationally and will pursue legal action against unauthorized reproduction or infringement in any market where we operate.

Unauthorized use of our trademarks, patents, or proprietary methods may result in legal action, including cease and desist orders, monetary damages, and injunctive relief.

PREREQUISITES + REQUIREMENTS:

To attend Sarga 101, participants must:

  • Have at least 1 year of manual therapy experience. This may include clinical hours completed during massage school.

  • Meet the massage licensure requirements of the state or country where you practice.

  • Carry current professional liability/malpractice insurance in the state or country where you practice (no exceptions).

  • Temporarily add Vitality Therapeutic Massage & Yoga, LLC to your insurance coverage for use of the equipment during training.

  • Review Come to Class Prepared: www.sargabodywork.com/prepare

PHYSICAL PREPARATION:

Sarga Bodywork—particularly when practiced on a raised massage table—requires balance, strength, stability, and cardiovascular endurance. One of the most common pieces of feedback we hear from students is that they underestimated the physical demands of the training.

Setting yourself up for success before class can make a significant difference in your learning experience.

SARGA STRONG is an online course designed to help Sarga Bodywork practitioners and students develop the strength, stability, and confidence needed to perform the work. It is an excellent resource for students preparing to attend an in-person Sarga Bodywork course:

https://www.sargabodywork.com/learn/sarga-strong

FITNESS BENCHMARKS:

The following four benchmarks can help you gauge your physical readiness to learn and perform Sarga Bodywork successfully:

1. Balance + Ankle Stability
The ability to balance on one foot for at least 1 minute without holding onto anything for support.

Please note that significant ankle inversion/supination, previous ankle injuries, or limited ankle dorsiflexion may affect your ability to perform some techniques comfortably and safely. Ankle- and knee-stabilizing exercises are highly recommended when preparing for the course.

2. Cardiovascular Endurance
The ability to perform cardiovascular exercise—such as jogging or swimming—for 10–15 minutes without stopping.

3. Lower-Body Strength
The ability to perform at least 3 sets of 20 squats.

4. Core Strength + Stability
The ability to hold a plank isometrically for at least 1 minute.

We do warm-ups together during class, but please arrive physically prepared for four active days of hands-on learning.

WHAT IF I DON'T MEET THESE BENCHMARKS?

If you do not yet feel confident meeting these fitness benchmarks, a floor-based Sarga course may be a better fit.

While basic strength and conditioning are still important, floor-based Sarga provides a wider, more stable working area and places less emphasis on balance and raised-table positioning.

Please contact Linda directly at linda.caravia@vitalitytmy.com to discuss floor-based course options.

STUDENT WEIGHT, HEIGHT + CLASSROOM EQUIPMENT SAFETY

STUDENT WEIGHT, HEIGHT + CLASSROOM EQUIPMENT SAFETY

Body weight alone does not determine fitness, balance, strength, or capability. These parameters are based on the safe working capacities of the equipment and techniques used during Sarga Bodywork training.

Because the Sarga Silk allows practitioners to generate additional force beyond bodyweight, we ask students to let us know when they fall outside the height or weight parameters for the equipment being used in class.

Classroom equipment parameters:

  • Raised massage table: Practitioner weight of 165 lbs or less and height of 6' or under

  • Floor table: Practitioner weight of 225 lbs or less

  • SargaThai Mat & Board: No practitioner height or weight limitations

Being outside these parameters does not automatically exclude you from Sarga Bodywork training. It simply means we may need to discuss the classroom setup, equipment, or appropriate course format with you before registration is finalized.

If you fall outside the parameters for this training or would like to discuss your individual circumstances, please select the appropriate option below or contact Linda at linda.caravia@vitalitytmy.com.

Accurate disclosure is required for classroom safety. Failure to disclose relevant height or weight information may require equipment or technique modifications during class and, if the available equipment cannot be used safely, may result in the student being unable to participate in some techniques or continue the training.
