Immerse yourself in the teachings of mindfulness and Ayurveda in this tranquil and peaceful region of Southern Spain, surrounded by olive groves in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
This is a unique opportunity to slow down in this secluded setting and connect with yourself and others on a deeper level. We’ll practice genuine, true self care that you can integrate into daily life and have designed our time together to be in line with Ayurvedic principles and the wisdom of the Insight meditation tradition. Experience what it’s like to live a life of balance. Your body and mind will feel nurtured and nourished, not only from the Ayurvedically-aligned Spanish meals, but from spending time in community and relaxing into retreat life.
Mindfulness meditation invites us to quiet the mind and open the heart, and to connect more profoundly with both our inner life and the outer world. During morning meditation sessions with Celeste, we’ll practice sitting and walking meditation together in our mountain view shala and outside in the garden, nourished by silence and stillness. There will be Dharma talks focused on Buddhist teachings from the Insight meditation tradition to settle the mind and open the heart.
After lunch, take time to rest, swim, be with friends, enjoy the quiet, read, or practice meditation.
Ayurveda is a 5,000+ year old system of holistic healing that teaches us how to take care of our body, mind and spirit by living in harmony with nature. During the afternoon sessions with Julie, you’ll learn in-depth Ayurvedic philosophy and practical Ayurvedic tools you can take home for balanced living.
All experience levels welcome - whether you're new to meditation and Ayurveda or an experienced practitioner. This retreat is designed to be accessible and welcoming to all.
