About your trip

Reasons to Fall In Love with Savannah!

When the heat of the summer ends and the warm and windy days of fall begin, Savannah becomes a must-see destination for travelers seeking mild temperatures, low crowds, and outdoor experiences. The weather calls for outside adventures, like spending the afternoon strolling through squares or the evening looking for ghosts.

Wander the City and Take in the Sights - You could roam the Victorian District and dream of living inside one of the marvelous, incredibly unique homes you’ll see, or relax under the mossy shade of live oak in Forsyth Park. You could check out Savannah’s more eclectic Starland District, a place filled with art galleries and shops and delicious eats, or stay in the Historic District and marvel at all the squares, monuments, and mansions.

Jekyll Island - The southernmost island of the Golden Isles, Jekyll Island is one of the most popular islands for those who visit coastal Georgia. This 5,500-acre island is home to 10 miles of shoreline and a variety of events, family-friendly activities, and attractions. From the iconic Driftwood Beach to the island's historical homes, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, and more, Jekyll Island has something for everyone.

In addition, since the island is owned by the State of Georgia and managed by the Jekyll Island Authority, the island’s development is limited to just 1,609 acres to preserve the critical barrier island ecosystem. Great lengths have been taken to honor this ratio while the highly anticipated revitalization of Jekyll Island moves forward. Since most of the island is protected, there is also plenty of nature and wildlife to explore! All the family-friendly activities on Jekyll Island are enough to keep any visitor busy!

Welcome to Beaufort. Have You Been to Beaufort Yet? It’s the time!

Fall is such a wonderful season in this lovely little harbor town founded more than 300 years ago on Port Royal Island. Here, you will find some of the American South’s most unique and exquisite Bed and Breakfasts, restaurants, hotels, and vacation rentals, plus beautiful beaches and plenty of options for outdoor adventures. But we’re not the only ones that think Beaufort’s got something special — just ask the creators of classic films such as Forrest Gump, The Big Chill, The Great Santini, and The Prince of Tides! While you’re here, be sure to check out the Penn Center, an important center of Gullah-Geechee culture. Steeped in history, culture, atmosphere, and hospitality, you won’t want to miss Beaufort!
