Sayulita Stay

Welcome to Sayulita – A Coastal Gem

Sayulita is a vibrant village on Mexico’s Pacific coast, where lush jungle meets golden beaches and a bohemian spirit fills the air. This lively yet laid-back town blends traditional Mexican charm with modern flair, offering colorful streets, artisanal markets, and a welcoming energy that invites you to slow down and savor every moment. Known for its world-class surfing, stunning sunsets, and thriving arts and wellness scene, Sayulita is a haven for adventure seekers and those looking to unwind in paradise.

Easily accessible with affordable direct flights to Puerto Vallarta, Sayulita is just a scenic 45-minute ride away by bus or taxi. Whether you're exploring hidden beaches, indulging in fresh local cuisine, or simply soaking up the sun, Sayulita’s magic is undeniable—an ideal setting for deep connection, play, and restoration.

The Yoga + Your Teachers

Twice daily, immerse yourself in yoga practices led by Kirby Gordon and Evan McClain, both dedicated yoga teachers from Austin, Texas.

Having met through their shared teacher, Abbie Galvin, they bring a complementary balance of structure and flow, depth and play, masculine and feminine energies—creating an experience that is both transformative and deeply nourishing.

Evan offers a grounded, intentional approach to practice, holding a firm yet supportive container where form meets function. His teachings focus on mind-body connection, bringing the subconscious into awareness and refining practice through self-cultivation. Known for his life-changing hands-on adjustments, Evan will guide workshops on Katonah Yoga® reformation, therapeutic body readings, and restorative practices. His presence is insightful, wise, and steady, offering a depth of knowledge and masculine energy to the retreat.

Kirby brings fluidity, warmth, and intuition to the mat. Affectionately called "Mama Kirbs" by students and friends alike, she holds space with nurturing support, deep wisdom, and an infectious love for play and curiosity. With years of training in flow, yin, and Katonah Yoga®, her teaching blends Taoist principles, poetic metaphors, and embodied movement, guiding students through an experience of reciprocity, balance, and transformation. Her sessions will weave together Katonah flow and yin/stillness practices, encouraging students to explore, soften, and expand.

Both teachers are highly experienced in hands-on adjustments and will create a workshop-style atmosphere, inviting practitioners of all levels—whether new to yoga or seasoned—to engage deeply with the material. Expect tons of laughter, exploration, and insight as you dive into conversation, movement, and the magic of practice in paradise.

The Food

Food is an essential part of the retreat experience, and at Hotelito Los Sueños, every meal is crafted with care to fuel and delight. Breakfast and dinner are included daily in the cost of the retreat, offering a blend of traditional Mexican flavors with a wellness-focused, international twist.

Each morning, enjoy an onsite breakfast buffet, featuring a colorful spread of fresh and nourishing options. Savor homemade tortillas, charro beans, chilaquiles topped with queso fresco, sautéed fresh greens and veggies, eggs, chorizo, fresh fruit and yogurt bowls, and warm, fresh bread. Pair your meal with coffee, tea, or fresh juice as you ease into the rhythm of the day. Vegetarian and vegan options are always available to accommodate all dietary needs.

Lunch is left open for you to explore the incredible food scene of Sayulita at your own pace. Whether you're craving fresh ceviche, a nourishing smoothie bowl, or the perfect street taco, this beachside town is filled with casual eateries offering delicious, affordable meals.

With plenty of local taco stands, juice bars, and cozy cafés, you’ll find an array of options to satisfy your cravings—all for under $10

Evenings bring a mix of intimate onsite dinners and curated meals out in town, allowing you to experience the vibrant Sayulita nightlife and local culinary scene. Expect comforting, flavorful dishes like hearty soups, sizzling fajitas, and nourishing meals shared in community—always infused with the warmth and vibrancy of Mexico. All dinners included in cost of retreat.
