Days Itinerary

What You’ll See and Do

Join your guide for a gentle 700-metre forest walk to one of the area’s most impressive natural landmarks — Big Spotty Tree. This short but immersive journey offers a chance to slow down, tune in, and experience a remarkable pocket of Australian bushland up close.

1. The Big Spotty Tree & Surrounding Forest

As we wander along the forest track, you’ll be surrounded by towering eucalypts and lush understory before arriving at Big Spotty itself — a striking giant that has stood here for generations. Your guide will share stories about the tree’s age, its unique markings, and the role trees like this play in the wider forest ecosystem.

2. Wildlife Encounters

Even on a short walk, the forest is alive with activity. Keep your eyes and ears open for local wildlife that commonly move through this area, including:

  • Mammals: Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Swamp Wallabies, and Red-necked Wallabies

  • Birdlife: Finches and native Honeyeaters flitting through the canopy

  • Raptors: Wedge-tailed Eagles or White-bellied Sea Eagles soaring overhead

With a bit of luck and patience, you may also glimpse more elusive residents such as gliders or hear the call of one of the forest’s nocturnal owls.

3. Optional Finale – Mindfulness at the Tree

At Big Spotty, your guide will offer an optional guided mindfulness session. Take a moment to pause, breathe, and connect with the forest — listening to birdsong, feeling the texture of bark, and soaking in the calm of this special place.

This is more than a short walk — it’s an opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and experience the quiet magic of the bush, guided by someone who truly knows and loves the land.
