About this trip

We’ll take you on a fun day out bushwalking

This day tour is for people who want to have a guided nature walk or hiking experience in the pristine forests of the New South Wales South Coast. Paul will take you places you don’t normally go and show you rare plants and animals that are unique to the area.
Day walk may include viewing a 58 metre tall spotted gum in one of four National Parks and kangaroo watching at several locations possibly even on the beach.
Don’t to forget to choose your favourite jam when you book – that’s to go on the scones made by your tour guide, along with the cream (can’t forget the cream!).

What You'll See and Do

Travel in the fully airconditioned minivan for the unique journey through a living piece of Australian history, culminating in an unforgettable wildlife encounter on the South Coast.

1. The Rare Ancient Temperate Rainforest

As we travel deeper into the heart of the Deua National Park, we shall encounter swaying giants up to 400 years old, part of Gondwanan high conservation value forests that dominated the landscape before European settlement. Prepare to be in awe by the temperate rainforest in which you will be under.

2. Wildlife Encounters

Keep your eyes and ears open! This forest is a critical habitat for a rich variety of native species. You are likely to spot several of our more common, though equally impressive, residents:

  • Mammals: Eastern Grey Kangaroo, Swamp Wallaby, and Red-necked Wallaby.

  • Raptors: The majestic Wedge-tailed Eagle and the White-bellied Sea Eagle soaring overhead.

  • Smaller Birds: Various Finches and native Honeyeaters feeding in the canopy.

Some of the threatened species that call this forest home are a little harder to spot, but keep a look out—you might be lucky enough to see the Greater Glider, the Yellow-bellied Glider, or even one of our rare Nocturnal Owls (Barking, Powerful, or Sooty Owl).

3. Optional Finale - mindfulness session

Your Tour Guide will lead a guided mindfulness experience in the forest. This immersive activity invites you to pause, breathe, and open your senses to the natural world around you.

This isn't just a hike—it's a journey into presence, peace, and connection, all hosted by a knowledgeable and engaging guide who truly understands the soul of the bush.
