Daily breakfast is included. To allow for maximum flexibility in your daily schedule entrances to attractions, meals (unless specified in the itinerary) and tips are not included.  Costs are subject to price changes and availability until the tour deposit is completed. 

Tour Booking Deadline:

Booking and deposit are required 90 days prior to travel.

Deposits are non-refundable.

Payment in-full due 90 days prior to tour. 

In case of participant choosing cancellation, participant will be refunded 50% if more than 90 days prior to tour, not to include initial deposit.

No refund will be given if cancellation is less than 90 days prior to the tour start date. 

We recommend travel insurance through Travel Guard.

Edinburgh

Upon arrival in Edinburgh we’ll check in to our hotel then begin our Scotland adventure with a luxurious traditional afternoon tea served in The Balmoral’s Palm Court (optional). This evening enjoy free time to explore Edinburgh at your leisure… visit a charming local pub, catch some traditional Scottish music, or simply unwind and rejuvenate.

Day 2, May 2nd

Edinburgh City

This morning we go for a walking tour of Edinburgh Old Town, the Royal Mile and Victoria Street. Later, we’ll tour the majestic Holyrood Palace, the official residence of the British monarch in Scotland. We stop for a delightful late lunch at a local-favorite restaurant on Castlehill, just steps from the gates to Edinburgh Castle. Tonight, enjoy free time in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh to Pitlochry

Today we leave the Lowlands behind and climb into the Highlands proper. Our exciting trek north takes us to fascinating historical stops that include the village of Falkland (Mary, Queen of Scots’ favorite home) and the ancient university town of St Andrews, the Home of Golf. We’ll visit the remains of St Andrews Cathedral, which was once Scotland’s largest cathedral and most magnificent church. Tonight, we lodge and dine in the charming Victorian town of Pitlochry.

Pitlochry to Inverness

Today, we explore the striking beauty of Highland Perthshire. Our day begins with a relaxing and unique forest walk at the spectacular Dunkeld Hermitage. Then, we take in the scenic splendor of the Queen’s View with an optional visit to Blair Castle & Gardens, home of Clan Murray. Next, we’ll enjoy some boutique shopping in the area. We’ll pop in to a local whisky distillery to sample a wee dram then make our way through Cairngorm National Forest to Inverness for hotel check-in and dinner at a fantastic local-favorite restaurant.

Inverness and surrounds

We begin our day with a city tour of Inverness, experiencing its rich and fascinating history. Then, we visit the infamous and deeply moving Battlefield of Culloden of 1746, which changed the Highland way of life forever. Next, we explore the pre-historic Clava Carins, otherworldly 4,000-year-old standing stones & ring cairns. In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy a beautiful round-trip driving tour of Loch Ness. After dinner, we can enjoy live local music and ceilidh dancing, for those interested.

Inverness to the Isle of Skye

We start our day with a picturesque drive through the beautiful Glenelg area. We make our way to the idyllic village of Plockton, which rests on the shores of Loch Carron and is often called the Jewel of the Highlands. Next, we stop at the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, perched on its own small island, it’s a place of breathtaking beauty and rich history. Afterward, we take the dramatic bridge over to the Isle of Skye where we spend a relaxing evening dining with beautiful Skye views.

The Isle of Skye

We begin an exciting day on Skye with a visit to the mystical and otherworldly Fairy Glen. Our explorations contiue as we discover the island’s iconic locations, including The Quiraing, Kilt Rock, the Old Man of Storr and Lealt Falls. The afternoon unfolds in Portree, the vibrant capital of Skye, where we enjoy a leisurely exploration of the picturesque harbor and colorful waterfront homes. Our day concludes with a return to our luxury accommodations with fine dining and spectacular views for the night.

The Isle of Skye to Oban

This morning we catch the ferry back to mainland Scotland and enjoy a day of world famous vistas! Heading east to the shores of beautiful Loch Shiel we’ll visit the Glenfinnan Monument and Viaduct. Next, we are awed as we drive through the majestic Glen Coe valley, the most scenic and historic Highland glen. Making our way to the lively port town of Oban, we enjoy an excellent fresh-caught seafood dinner and lodge for the night.

The Isle of Mull

Today we enjoy a day trip to the serene Isle of Mull, a short ferry ride from Oban. Our day takes us northward to the charming town of Tobermory, known for its vibrant, color-drenched houses that ring the peaceful bay. The journey has wonderful views of the mainland across the Sound of Mull and passes through the villages of Salen and Aros. An alternate route option is to drive southwest to Fionphort where a passenger ferry takes us on a short voyage to the sacred Isle of Iona and its ancient Abbey.

Oban to Edinburgh

This morning, we set out from Oban, journeying through the breathtaking landscapes of Highland Perthshire and into the tranquility of Glenlyon, hailed as ‘Scotland’s loveliest glen’ by Sir Walter Scott. Our route includes a pause at the lovely Falls of Dochart and a drive through the picturesque town of Aberfeldy. Our travels culminate at the iconic Stirling Castle, one of the most important and historic castles in Scotland. Tonight we’ll celebrate with a farewell dinner, then retire to accommodations near the airport, poised for morning departures.

Return to Edinburgh

Depending on your flight preference, you can depart tonight or spend the night in Edinburgh and depart the next morning.  *Airport hotel is not included in this package.
