      Itinerary

      Day 1
      Welcome to Scotland

Upon arrival at Edinburgh airport, meet your guide and driver before departing for your hotel in the city center to drop your bags. Set off for a walking tour of this beautiful city where you will see the Royal Mile & Edinburgh Castle in the Old Town.

Edinburgh, the inspiring capital of Scotland, is a historic, cosmopolitan, and cultural city. The setting is wonderfully striking: a city is perched on a series of extinct volcanoes and rocky crags, which rise from the generally flat landscape of the Lothians, with the sheltered shoreline of the Firth of Forth to the north. Edinburgh Castle dominates the city-center skyline and from its ramparts you can look down on medieval lanes and elegant, sweeping terraces that hold over a thousand years of history, mystery, and tradition. Yet Edinburgh is also a modern, dynamic capital where international festivals attract the world's leading performers, galleries display cutting-edge art, and bars, restaurants and clubs create a lively, cosmopolitan atmosphere with a distinctly Scottish twist. 'Edinburgh,' said writer Robert Louis Stevenson, 'is what Paris ought to be'.

      Edinburgh Castle

No trip to Edinburgh is complete without a visit to the iconic landmark that dominated Edinburgh’s skyline. Edinburgh’s Castle rock has been a stronghold for over 3000 years. In its dominating position overlooking the capital city, the grandeur and historical significance of Edinburgh Castle has made it a globally famous icon of Scotland and part of the Old and New Towns of Edinburgh World Heritage Site. Sited on top of an extinct volcano, gaining stunning views across City of Edinburgh, the castle has witnessed many of the defining events of Scottish history and has dominated its surroundings with majesty for centuries. Captivating visitors with its ancient buildings and marvelous views, it continues to spellbind with its wonderful story.

Morocco is a fascinating place. Its history is rich and its people are friendly, warm, helpful and interested. I loved the energy of the various Medinas we visited. The food was healthy and delicious, and informed the experience of the culture. The majority of the hotels were truly amazing examples of Moroccan hospitality. The Sofitels in Marrakesh and Casablanca, unfortunately, left a lot to be desired, especially the one in Casablanca.

This was my first time using Nanda Journeys to lead a global team. I have led teams with other companies but wanted to try a new company. Nanda Journeys did not disappoint. From the moment I embarked on Nanda Journeys’ cultural and healthcare-focused trip to India, I knew I was in for an extraordinary experience, but nothing could have prepared me for the profound impact this journey would have on me. Nanda Journeys curated a masterful itinerary that seamlessly blended educational enrichment with cultural immersion. As a healthcare professional, the opportunity to learn about India's healthcare system firsthand was invaluable. We visited local clinics and major hospitals, interacting with Indian healthcare professionals who shared insights into their challenges and innovations. This exchange wasn't just informative; it was deeply inspiring, offering a fresh perspective on healthcare delivery. But this journey was more than just a professional learning experience. Nanda Journeys ensured that we were steeped in the rich immersion of Indian culture. We explored bustling markets and serene temples, savored the vibrant flavors of authentic Indian cuisine, and were mesmerized by traditional music and dance performances. The accommodations arranged by Nanda Journeys were top-notch, offering comfort and luxury after days filled with exploration and learning. Their guides were knowledgeable and passionate, not just about the sites we visited but about ensuring we had a meaningful and personal experience. One of the most striking aspects of this trip was the perfect balance between structure professional activities and tourist exploration activities. Whether it was a visit to the Taj Mahal, a rickshaw ride through the lively streets of Delhi, or a reflective moment at the Keoladeo National Park and Bird sanctuary, each day was a blend of awe, learning, and personal growth. What sets Nanda Journeys apart is their commitment to creating connections. We didn't just observe; we engaged. We met with local families, shared meals, and exchanged stories. These moments of genuine connection were heartwarming and underscored the universal aspects of humanity, transcending borders and cultures. My journey to India with Nanda Journeys was more than just a trip; it was a life-altering experience. It broadened my horizons, challenged my perspectives, and left me with a deeper understanding of both the Indian culture and its healthcare system. I returned home not just with memories and knowledge, but with a renewed passion for my profession and a profound appreciation for the beauty and complexity of India. Nanda Journeys didn't just promise an educational tour; they delivered an unforgettable expedition into the heart of India.

The trip was wonderful. Guatemala is stunningly beautiful. People everywhere were very friendly and the food was fresh and delicious. The Nanda tour guides were exemplary. They went above and beyond at every step along the way from translating to assisting those of us with limited mobility. Our driver handled the roads and traffic with ease and made sure we were comfortable on each journey. Nanda Journeys is exceptional and I am sure this will be the first of many tours I take with them.
